Gishank
Apparently i've been hearing that you can actually acquire him as a follower, but back when i entered Vault 87 and offered him the chance to come with me he claimed he couldn't due to the fact that people wouldn't take to a friendly supermutant. Which begs the question is he an actual follower, and would super-bad or super-good karma change his reaction? Additionally, is it possible to reencounter Fawkes in say the wastelands? Or go back to Vault 87 and acquire him? PS; Additionally, is it possible to acquire the second friendly super-mutant (Uncle Joe?) who patrols the wastes? I've only encountered him once and i've been too busy with the side quests to search for him again...
Church Frost
After you escape Raven Rock, at the exit/entrance, Fawkes' is there, with his Gatling Laser, available for recruitment, only if you have a good karma. And it isn't possible to get Joe as a follower.
Gishank
Yeah, i've been past Raven Rock and whatnot, when i exited i saw a green blip firing with a Gattling laser, i was overcumbered though and couldn't catch with him, nor did i attempt to. I thought it was merely a Enclave Telsa-trooper whom hadn't noticed me yet.
VerbalEarthworm
if you fire Fawkes, he goes to lurk in the Museum of History entrance hall, so he might be there for you, even if you missed the Raven Rock encounter. the second friendly super mutant is Uncle Leo, and he is one of the random wasteland encounters. the vanilla game only gives options to rob him and possibly meet him again. however, if you're using the PC version wih mods, you can install Sharing and Caring Companions and that will allow you to recruit him as a companion. i have done this in my game and i actually prefer him to Fawkes. evilneko
Er, doesn't Fawkes come up to you on his own after you escape? And if you're encumbered, it'd be kinda hard to get away from an NPC insistent on talking to you..
lilgamefreek
I remember my first playthrough fawkes didn't show at all, but that's cause I didn't let him out and nabbed the geck myself. :P

Gishank
Well he didn't come up to me, if anything he was going in the other direction. Before you ask, i did free him. Unlike some people i'm not super-resistent to radiation lol
TheOutlander
Go back to Raven Rock, he should still be there.
Gishank
He was. Though unfortuently due to low Karma (there should really be a method of finding your Karma level on the stats page) i couldn't acquire him. So i'll just up my Karma levels and look for that History museum. Thanks for the help.
