Marxist ßastard
The Mythic Dawn are human supporters of the Daedric invasion, and an armor of that same name has been confirmed as being in the game. That would seem like an acceptable compromise -- they are uniformed troops using mass-issued armor, but the side they're fighting for is of the Daedric persuasion. This conclusion would also explain very well the use of bound weapons, which the Imperial Legion explanation could never support in a satisfactory way (a defending force composed entirely of battlemages sounds a bit far-fetched). Good work.
VaanicOne
Interesting, I never used to believe the TES forums people when they said it was mythic Dawn, for many reasons. But, thinking again, and with certain facts confirmed by watching the videos and looking at screenshots. It does seem to be Mythic dawn indeed. Well done. Well, you seem to have decided already - guess I will have to have a peek at the Mythic Dawn input. Up to that point I was thinking some kind of Necromantic Cult because of the skull in the center of the breast plate, and the tattered/rumpled look of what seems to be cloth underneath. It is hard to tell from the pic you posted what the real colour is, but there is an oily sheen to it that also leans to the necromantic - not to be confused with undead armour in the past which tended to be rusty. Now if Mythic Dawn have a Necromantic conection then that would do it for me, I accept that there is definitely a Daedric flavour to the design. Another thought of course would be that it is Ayelid Armour, but they are supposed to be very earth/primitive related...
Marxist ßastard
Now if Mythic Dawn have a Necromantic conection then that would do it for me... Ever walk into a Daedric shrine in Morrowind and take note of the number of Conjuration mages there are? Their weapons are definetly bound, too, which implies some training in the governing skill. super squirrel
hmm.. a couple of things that i picked up off that pageDwemer:If you want this armour In Cyrodill you'll probably have to steal it from a museum. is this a challange? Ebony:Expect to find it only being worn by nobles and rich people and I doubt many Blacksmiths will have the skill to make it.so now we're to slaughter the gentry? Switch
Like this. You had the / in the wrong bit of the closing quote tag. It needs to be at the beginning, like [ /quote] (without the space). Anyway this is veering a tad off-topic, and the mystery seems to have been solved. :P So I'll lock this now I think. Let me know if you want to revive this discussion at any point Vaanic and I'll open it again.
