ProtoTypeRaavyn
Because I feel like here they only choose to answer really easy questions, and in the past it has taken almost a year for people to respond to me. So I am wondering if there is A better place to go to receive help on our modding questions?
Lisnpuppy
You may want to try the Official Bethesda Forums as it gets more traffic than we do. I find people very helpful here however some games get more immediate attention than others and folks answer what they see and what they know or have interest in at the time. Good luck. Oubliette
Also it depends on the question. If you have a specific question related to a specific mod - it's best to first search the official release thread (one is created with every mod publication) of that mod for people with similar issues as the question could have already been answered. If it hasn't then you should post your question in that thread not start a new post with a complicated question (because when you start a new post with a complex question for a specific mod you're basically waiting for someone who is familiar with that mod to happen upon your question and feel like answering it in depth when it might have already been answered elsewhere before - the chances of that happening are low and that's why some complex questions never get answered.). If it's a general question about something with this particular game that's giving you an issue - yes it's best first to search for answers yourself both here and in the official forums for that game. Bethesda's game troubleshooting forums for example are a treasure trove of people having and solving similar problems on a regular basis. No one likes answering the same question over and over again however so it's best to first make sure you've really looked for an answer yourself before waiting on the tender mercies of someone deciding to help you out. It's definitely faster that way and it also helps formulate more detailed and useful questions (my game keeps crashing - halp!?! is not a great question for example). Unfortunately the one thing I am trying to do there is VIRTUALLY no content for online, When I come on here I always see questions about something that if the OP had just taken a second on google they could have figured it out. But my questions have no info on them, it seems I am the first person to try to do anything different with radiation other than just making it stronger. And the scripting I need help with the GECK website has no info on which is sad because each subject has A page of info on it except actor effects, diseases and Objects (world).
