Sdesser
As a poor Information Processing University Student, reading about your guys god-like PC:s makes me so jelly.I'm running with this few year old setup:i5-2500k (stock speed: 3.3 ghz)16 gb of 1600 mhz DDR3GTX 560128 gb SSD (Win 8.1 and Skyrim)1 TB WD Black Caviar (Rest of my games and software)1 TB WD Blue Caviar (Media)Antec Sonata III case with stock power (550w Earthpower) Now that I think about it.. All I really need is a new GPU, Power and I'm pretty much set. If needed, I can just get a 3rd party cooler for the CPU and OC it to about 4 ghz.Though, eating noodles for a few months to get a new GPU, doesn't sound that good. lala
How does enb & shaders get affected by my GPU setup? without ENB im getting 60fps, with ENB I get 30fps - is this a GPU or VRAM ceiling im hitting?
ONIXer
ENB affects VRAM and GPU speed, with ENB average 40fps, without average 300~. 60 fps (default) max if limited by enb.
ONIXer
Though, eating noodles for a few months to get a new GPU, doesn't sound that good. But thats way to go if you want good stuff :D Quit smoking, quit drink, no clubs - profit. Trading this with more healthy stuff like sport or cycling can save you a lot of money. lala
This is what I'm going to do - buy a cheap 4gb 680gtx from eBay. Sli, try them out. Sell my 2gb for 4gb, Try sli 4gb. Then I can sell both 4 gb later and pit money towards a single 7xx series when the price comes down .. Long winded but that makes the most sense! rody84
Too bad your stuck to Nvidia. AMD's r9 290's(X) is passing Nvidia's 780's in benchmarks, and that for a price under 400 euro. Buy a custom coolor, or wait for the aftermarket versions so you can clock it abit. With that it goes pretty easy beyond Nvidia's titan and 780. a lot of bang for the bucks so they say. And for benchmarks, r9 290 still gets behind, even overclocked.
