jip2
Hi! I'm having trouble with Named NPCs wearing either 0004223C or 0006FF45 (merchantclothes, merchantclothesvariant). For some reason they have multiple copies (2-3) of them in their inventory but they won't wear them (they wear hats and boots). It also seems that they get more of them (clothes) sometimes for some reason. Firstly I uninstalled immersive armors and then reinstalled it to a "clean save". This fixed the problem for Kjar since he got some new pirate gear from the immersive armors but for example some of the traveling Khajiit merchants just got another copy of the vanilla clothes (merchantclothes, merchantclothesvariant). I have created a bashed patch from: Update.esm Unofficial S Patc, esp Dawnguard.esm U Dawn Patch.esp U Dragonb Patch.esp Skyrim Immersive creatures.esp Skyrim Immersive creatures DLC2.esp High Level Enemies SIC.esp Cloaks.esp Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp Immersive Weapons.esp I have tried disabling and enabling different mods but I suspect that the problem is with a) my bashed patch contents b) my load order (used boss etc etc) c) immersive armors. So am I bashing all the required files? And if no definite solution is found is it safe to use in-game command "resetinventory" for the naked named NPCs? markus242005
If you remove the clothing from their inventory and equip it, are you also naked, or does the clothing show up for you?
jip2
The clothing shows up on my char when I take it from the NPC and equip it. Edited February 6, 2014 by jip2
BlackRampage
Which means one of your mods might be the culprit here. If I were to guess, I'd suspect Few Essential NPCs.esp to be the culprit.
jip2
Maybe I should move them higher in the load order? Boss doesn't recognize them since I've made those myself  No dirty edits were found on them and I rechecked which NPCs it makes essential and the ones running naked were untouched by those mods. I used player.moveto to check few NPC wearing the merchantclothes and it seems that only the traveling Khajiit (like Zaynabi) and Kjar are having the problem. markus242005
I would try disabling mods one by one, specifically mods that alter clothing or NPC's. Disable 1 mod, start skyrim and check the NPC's that are affected, if they're still naked, re-enable the mod and disable the next mod. If they aren't naked, you've found which mod is causing it to happen. Back up your saves just to be safe.
jip2
Did some testing the other day: 1. I used resetinventory first to a few of the naked NPCs. Then I started disabling mods. After I disabled immersive armors the NPCs took their clothes off again and for some reason even resetinventory won't give them clothes back? 2. If I leave NPCs naked and disable mods nothing happens and they stay naked. I have no idea what's happening but resetinventory seemed work and since the amount of NPC affected by this is minimal using the console is simpler. Does cell reseting by the way also reset named NPCs inventories? Immersive creatures cell respawner is set to disabled but after restarting the game all the values are "0 hours". Why won't the mod save the cell spawner settings? (other setting are saved)
