iwokojance
I have replaced the original ambient music in Fallout 3 with custom mp3 files, but I'm wondering...is there a limit? For example, the original Fallout 3 dungeon sequences had 5 mp3 files that randomly played upon entering a certain area...if I were to place more than five files in the music folder, would the game engine automatically choose from more than five mp3 files? If anyone has experimented with this, please let me know of your results. To reiterate, I'm not talking about radio music...I'm talking about ambient music, which is in a different folder than sounds.
JimboUK
Not tried it with Fallout 3 but with Morrowind and Oblivion you could dump loads in there and they were played randomly, I assume F03 is the same.
Skree000
my data/music folder has about 350 custom music tracks of ambience taken from lots of movies and game scores, ie. Dune, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Riddick, etc.So far i dont think there is a limit. I hear lots and lots of variations.
iwokojance
Thanks for the replies...that's great news, indeed. I can't wait to add some more files. I plan to add a lot more music from sci-fi soundtracks. It really helps set the mood of the game. :)
