zigen1111 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Hello, First off, I am not a modder but an avid mod user. I would like to learn how to edit an existing mod for personal use. Just simple stuff like changing some armors from NPC mods. For example, Populated Lands, Roads, Paths. I would like to change the wandering knight's armor or the Knight of Faith NPC's to a different armor set, maybe something from Immersive Armors. Do I need CK for this or will TESVedit do? I have no experience with the creation kit and just a little with TESVedit. Thanks.
ZzzZombi Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 You need to do it via Creation Kit. There are tutorials on how to do simple changes like that. Here is an official Bethesda CK page. Read through it a little, get some information on how actor windows work. After that, you need to go to actors in object window tree, find your NPC and right-click edit it. You can then go to his inventory tab and change whatever you like. If you don't know anything about Creation Kit, I'd suggest starting here, at the very beginning so that you would know which file to open and how to save your custom modification etc.
