SpartanSamuel
Is it possible to just copy over my installation folder to an external, and then paste it on my new computer without having to reinstall everything? Wrye Bash is telling me I have upwards of 200 mods going here, and that would be extremely unfortunately to do those again.
MikeHibs
It would be better just to reinstall everything. But, if you really don't want to.Yes, you can just copy every thing onto your new computer.
bben46
Some of the info in the Oblivion.ini file is specific to the computer it is installed on. Also Oblivion - like any program that is installed on a Windows computer has some entries in the Windows registry that will not transfer. And no, copying the registry from one computer to another is not a good idea, it will probably make the computer unable to boot. However, you can install Oblivion on the new computer, then copy over your data folder and saves folder.

So if you just copy oblivion over, it should just create a new one. Also, i have transferred Oblivion in a similar way. And all i had to do was activate the Oblivion.exe file. And the game started up.
