Barlas
Hello modding community! I am going to embark on a medium to big mod: The Children of Tamriel! In this mod, there will be children living in homes and around cities; even some that are children of bandits! Some will be rich, some will be poor, and some will be snot nosed brats! Ok, now for the twist: I will need your help. not to make the mod, but to tell me one things: What custom races do you want to see in this mod? If you tell me what race you would like to see, I'll hit up the creator of it and ask them if I may use it. This will hopefully bring more life into the game, and make it more interesting. Also, one other thing you could help with: Names! Some npc's are a husband and wife combo; what ones would you like to see have a child? If you tell me a family in oblivion that is from vanilla/SI that are husband and wife, I will make them a kid. Also, I will make you into a child npc if you so desire. I'll even give you some custom clothing that will be only for your npc. I will give you all credit for helping me; this will be a mod that the community itself would create! shadowfx78
this is an awesome idea something that oblivion is seriously lacking. I would say start with the vanilla races then progress from there. good luck and god bless
Barlas
I am. What i'm doing is duplicating races, then changing their scale, and then using the changed scale races for the children.
David Brasher
Are you going to make new meshes? Or just change the scale? Alas, children are proportioned much differently than adults. Most notably in the size of their heads. In comparison to overall body size, babies have huge heads, children have large heads, and adults have small heads. I really like the idea of your mod. I think it is really odd when an NPC in the vanilla game talks about children. I feel like asking them, "Where are these children?" I think maybe the Pied Piper Crisis is more serious than the Oblivion Crisis.

But, once I am done with what I intend to do, i am sure someone will most likely make an addon to do that.
JCP768
You could always just search "child" and ask to use someone else's meshes. There's one here on tesnexus, also I found an entire forum devoted to adding children. As for who should have children.... Perhaps the Loche's? (damn woman needs something to get over her husband "I'm sorry I need, to be alone for now..." "IT'S BEEN 2 YEARS! CAN'T YOU SAY SOMETHING NEW!?") There's also the Rockshatter quest woman..... Can't think of any other candidates right now. I mostly like those because I think the children could be used as a part of new quests, like: Timmy wants help cheering up mommy Loche with some flowers, maybe finding her a new husband, etc. Sandy resents her father for abandoning her mother and wants to go out Marauder hunting So on, and so forth.
