AzirAphale001
LBNOL is quite nice. It also sounds British. I like it.Actually that woud be 'LBNOLACATW' (Laughing but not out-loud and complaining about the weather). But yes, LBNOL gets my vote.
ZeonicGlory
Actually, the Lurkmore wiki gives the real definition of LOL. Let's Order Linguini A small meme originating from an Australian episode of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" where one of the first questions was to define the commonly used internet acronym "LOL". Let's Order Linguini was the most ridiculous and therefore memorable of the false options. Furthermore, it should be noted that the contestant in question had to use his 'ask the audience' lifeline to answer the question - and while over 60% of the audience steered him true, there was in fact a portion that thought Linguini was the way to go. Silly Australians. I think it's better that way.

Pronam
Me too, in my country 'lol' is a normal word and is present in the dictionary far before any 'Australian program' ;D.Its translation/explanation is 'having fun'. If I put 'lol wiki' in my version of google it links to 'Happiness/Luck'.I didn't even know about LOL's second meaning until a couple of years ago...The 'laughing out loud' thing made it impossible to use lol without saying LOL in any english sentence for me :)...Shame on you! :P

OK it is true, though. *grins* Ok the best one i used to use and i belive in this it is more honest LQTM -Laugh Quietly To Myself Hmm, I do like that one as well although, at least for me and I suspect others, it still wouldn't technically be true. ;) I think I shall try to stick with emotes, LBNOL and LOTI so as to at least mix it up a bit. Thanks for all the responses, you may now get back to rolling on the floor laughing. ;) Cheers.
