performance issue (SKSE 1.7 installed)

Hey so i recently had to re instal skyrim and i switched to UNP from CBBE and pure waters to W.A.T.E.R my FPS drops a lot and stutters much more, and before i had "I cant believe its not an ENB" installed with better performance, i also installed a lot of other mods recently too could someone please point out the performance hit mods ? thank you.

Something you could try,...Capping/limiting your framerate:

1.) Download MSI Afterburner.
2.) Once loaded click on settings button at the bottom of the Afterburner screen
3.) Click on the monitoring tab
4.) Check mark "Show in On-Screen Display"
5.) Click ok
6.) Close Afterburner and restart Afterburner
7.) You now will have an icon in your system tray that has a purple 60 in it, click on it (this is the Riva Tuner portion of Afterburner)
8.) At the top of the Riva Tuner screen turn "Show On-Screen display" off. Or on. For now, i am leaving it on to monitor FPS and GPU temp.
9.) Click on the wrench icon to the top right
10.) In the General tab enter the number you wish to cap at in the "Framerate limit" box.
11.) Click ok
12.) click ok again on the riva tuner
13.) minimize Afterburner
14.) play skyrim

Next time you load up Afterburner you wont have to do all that again it will stick. Just load afterburner, minimize it and play skyrim. Also, you can have it load at Windows startup,, with the limiter settings intact.

I set mine to 40 FPS....worked well for me. Like I told you before, my system specs are similar to yours, but, I don't use any of those 'beautification' mods, so I don't know how taxing they are on your hardware. Highly scripted mods can also effect performance.

The only other thing i can think of (and I am no expert on skyim modding by any stretch of the imagination) is to eliminate some of the "fluff" mods you can live without. Also, 1 gig of vram is not condusive to a lot of high rez texrture mods. Maybe you can find some sort of trade-off between performace and eye candy....Bet you heard that one before, eh? :smile:
