rladngus
I just installed a bunch of mods and whenever I start a new game, the female Blade Guard who guides the king (and later is the first to die in the tunnels) is invisible. Only her head and her sword can be seen, and the head doesn't have any helmet or hair on it. It's just a bald head and a katana sword floating around. How do I know a mod/s is/are causing this? When I deactivate every mod thru OBMM, she looks normal in her regular Blades armor. When I re-active the mods, the problem occurs again. I don't know if any other NPC looks like this too. I got to lazy to get any further into the game. I started several profiles just to test different mod load orders and activations... the only NPC I've witnessed being affected by this invisibility glitch is the female Blades Guard (I'm guessing there could be more). SIDE-NOTE: I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but I had once downloaded and installed (using OBMM) several mods from the same author and under the same project labeled "Beautiful People." Supposedly, it changes the body shape of women around the world of Tamriel. They apparently look different but I haven't witnessed it because I deleted it because I thought it was the source of the invisibility issue. I installed bonus mods from the same author that does the same thing for men, apparently making them look better... I haven't seen any difference in men though (at least not when the mod was installed). This is the list of mods I have (not in a specific load order):BTmodDragon Knight Armor SetElven MapEnhanced WeatherEnhanced Weather Hi-ResEnhanced Weather PatchLick King's Armor SetLowPoly GrassLowPoly Grass for SIOOOQTP3 "Redimized"QTP3 PatchQuest Award LevelerReal Swords KhajiitRusty ItemsSaddle BagShadow Armor Set*All the Unique Landscape mods*Unofficial Oblivion PatchUnofficial Official Mods PatchUnofficial SI PatchWCGL Wilderness CreaturesFrancesco's mod. rladngus
BTW I use Better Oblivion Sorting Software (BOSS) to set the load order. Meaning... I don't do it manually ;)
alex2avs
The invisible texture is caused by the missing of a normal map of the texture.
Birrii
I don't suspect any of the mods, really. But I suspect you :PYou must have overwritten some meshes, the meshes of the armor that Renault is wearing. I downloaded a dress once, and whenever I put it on, my body disappeared, too.Just reinstall Oblivion, and then everything should be fine. Or try downloading the v 1.2 patch. rladngus
Hey, thanks for the help. The version was not the problem, since my game is up to date. I found out what the problem is... I deactivated all mods (I don't need to reinstall if I'm using OBMM, thankfully haha) and activated every mod from the same project before testing it out and activating other mods. I figured out, to my surprise, OOO is causing the problem. I'm going to try different installation options.. .I always went with "Full", "3 Days", and "OOO 1.31" despite the fact that I don't know what the last option means and there is no description for it. Yes, OOO changes Captain Renault's armour. It's used as an early indication that the mod is working. In your case something is wrong. Have you downloaded the 406MB full package and then the upgrade patches. You're missing files obviously. Another thing...Fran's is not compatible with OOO unless you use FCOM for compatibility. OOO 1.31 is a version number. Then you need Wrye Bash to create Bashed Patches to manage leveled lists among other things. Go here for all the info you need on OOO installation.http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/OOO/OOO_Guide.html @ BirriiReinstalling Oblivion is not a stock answer to every problem, but reading the Docs that come with mods is. Thanks for confirming the source of the problem :)The problem was that I had an old version of OOO installed and some of the textures and meshes became incompatible with other mods that messed around with textures and meshes. I download and installed OOO v1.3, v1.32f, and v1.33, all in the specified order. That solved the problem. I'm too lazy to do what is necessary to make Francesco and Oscuro's mods work together... I'll just play with both enabled and see what happens :). If anything, I'll just deactivate Francesco's mod and work on the incompatibility issues later when I'm in the mood lol. Maigrets
Yes, well being too lazy can mess up your save games fatally if you use overhauls that are incompatible with each other then decide to remove one of them. Removing one, eg Fran's without using Wrye Bash to fix leveled lists and stats etc is asking for trouble. But, that's obviously your choice. Just be prepared to do a lot of reading to fix the issues or start a new game.
