BurkeIsMyBitch
I got a brand new computer yesterday. Naturally, I was ecstatic, immediately installing FO3 and having a bit of fun with the awesome graphics. It only dawned on me this morning that I hadn't installed the GECK yet, so I did. But everytime I select the data files and the GECK starts loading, it just freezes then crashes. No warnings, no errors, nothing. This is obviously frustrating as the only reason why I bought this damned new computer was to play FO3 on a decent graphics setting with a few custom mods. I'm just wondering if it's Windows 7 that's causing all this crap? Any feedback at all would be great.
Gishank
Have you tried setting it to run in compatibility with Vista/XP in the properties window?
phoneyLogic
You should run the geck in admin mode.Otherwise it should work quiet well with win7.
BurkeIsMyBitch
And how would I go about doing either of those?
phoneyLogic
For admin mode you just need to right-click on the GECK symbol and then choose sth like "run as admin".
