The Path of Dawn - mod related problem?

Hi all,

I'm new to modding and have just completed a fresh install of Oblivion along with quite a few mods. Everything has went well and seems to work great but I've discovered a bug and don't really know how to fix it so that I can continue with the main quest.

 

I'm stuck at the point in "The Path of Dawn" quest where Baurus asks me to follow him to the sewer as he knows where I need to go to collect the Mythic Dawn Commentaries 4 book but when we leave the inn where Baurus is staying he turns right and heads through then eventually out of the city to a stone and wood well where he enters the sewer. Once inside we get to a point where Baurus is stuck and walks back and forth on the same spot.

 

When I played Oblivion on the 360 version we came out of the inn, crossed the road, went up a small ally then entered the sewer via a round cover on the ground. So I believe a mod is making him go to the wrong sewer entrance and as a result he gets stuck.

 

So I need to try and either identify the mod thats causing it or use a console command (if there is one?) to make him spawn in the right location next to me.

After another good search on the wiki I figured out a workaround and it worked great :)

 

I used the following console commands and moved Baurus to where I was stanging in the correct sewers :)

 

prid 00032a17

moveto player

Thanks for actually TELLING us how you solved it - because that has helped me - so thanks! So many just post "thanks but I solved it" and don't tell you how! This mean when you google a problem you come to a thread like this except there is no answer - so thanks a third time! :)

 

SPOKE TO SOON! Go stuck at a door you "open elsewhere", I just want 5to finish the quest , not map he whole sewer system!

Not sure if you've seen the UESP resources for the Elven Gardens Sewer uk_john. I've found their map resources pretty helpful at times. This excerpt might help you with your door:

 

From the main entrance (Out), the main path forward is to head southeast, opening the door at L using the adjacent Turn Wheel (cyan dot) on your way to door F.

Sorry if this is a necropost, but I didn't think it prudent to start another topic on something similar to my problem. I too, am stuck on this main questline. Only, Baurus won't move! I walk through the door of the sewers, and he just stands there at the main door. It also looks like he cast a Shield around him when we were fighting last because he has two spirals of light going around him.

 

He doesn't move, he doesn't talk, he just stands there. I can't get him to follow me. I play on the PC. Thanks for any help in advance.

On this forum, if you are unable to find the answer to your issue by searching, it is always recommended that you start a new thread as your issues might be different in their root than others. There will be things asked that only your install will be relevant for. Unfortunately I have no experience with your issue, but thought I would suggest a new thread so others might see and be able to help more.
