Kissimurra
Im just curious, do you guys think that there will be morningstars/flails in Oblivion? It would be really cool if there was. It could work really good with Morningstars/flails in Oblivion because of the physics engine Havoc, or perhaps not work at all because of complications with the physics. If not it might be done in a mod. http://www.blackknightarmoury.co.uk/images/flail.jpg
Switch
I think they are planning a wider assortment of weapons for Oblivion, so it's possible. ^^ Flails would seem like an obvious addition, and as you say, with physics it could be interesting. Not sure how complicated it'd be to implement though. I would think morningstars would be in; I mean they wouldn't be that hard to add, and they already have mace weapons. They are a very medieval weapon, and medieval atmosphere is I think what they're going for with Cyrodiil. Even if they didn't do it I expect someone could add it with a mod easily enough. super squirrel
btw, flails were weapons of the church. it was designed so that bishops/popes could fight, but woulddn't actually be touching the weapon when it hit (the chain links would part). that meant that the damage was sort of an "act of god"
