The warning was given for the following reason: After staffing this issue and reviewing the debates sections it has been decided that we would issue a formal warning for the issue in the below listed thread. When discussing a topic a member requested a link on the issue for which Colour was supporting. Colour issued several links along with an insulting post at the other member. We realize that the debates section discusses many topics which individuals feel very strongly. This does not however give anyone the right to insult another member. The Terms of Service of this site should always be followed along with minding the rules specific of the debates section. If someone is unable to discuss and support arguments without resorting to insults then they should not post. Debating is being able to take a side (indeed any side of a debate, even when you do not personally support the opinion) and create a sound argument giving supporting independent facts. If one can not, then they should not post. The Debates Section exist on this forums as a way to let people engage in this kind of intellectual argument. It is not necessary for this forums and exist only so long as those posting there can act in a civil and mature manner. For the issues presented in the listed post it has been decided that there will be a ONE (1) MONTH ban on posting in the Debates Section of the Nexus Forums. Also due to this transgression a TWO (2) Month ban of starting debates topics will be issued. The ban on posting will end on the 14th of March 2014. The topic start ban will end on 14 April 2014.
