I read the Report on the PC Action, they say its one of the best Games and Game Ideas ever created. But at the very first start they couldnt even get in the Start screen, for over 30 Minutes, until it finally started.

I think you can get a patch that allows you to skip the intro when you start the game, but yeah, that is well annoying!

"For once the sequel is a huge improvement IMO."

i think its not..in baw1 we had a CREATURE..and in this? a Droid with switches..brr..

physics are also gone through a devolution..not to mention another pack of minuses with gameplay..

the only improvement is really in render technology, and building nice citys are fun for some levels..but eh..maybe i wanted too much from that title but its not even close to the first version

The "creature" in B&W was more of an annoying uncontrollable useless lump who spent half his time pooing on villagers and knocking down houses as far as I remember. I much prefer the "droid", it's much more controllable than before. The physics seem the same as the first one as far as I can see.

I've just always wanted to be able to build unlimited custom huge cities since I first started playing RTSes. And this is exactly what B&W2 has delivered. So for me at least, it's a great game. :D I'll admit it is a hell of a lot easier than the first, but I don't really think that's a bad thing.

in bw1 the only border to what you teach to your creature was your creativity..he was even able to link movements together..also it had a personality..that meant that no two creature(not even same type) was the same from the beginning..you could've tried beeting your good-by-nature beast to eat villagers but it resisted,cryed..did whatever not to do it..and then you had PUNISh your creature so much that you almost feel sorry for the poor thing:) not like that slipslap that has simple no other results than the move of a slider..

Its really not more now than a goodforeverything unit that you can control around...

about phisics: in baw1 when your creature clashed with another in the center of a town and one fell among the houses,it shattered the buildings into pieces just as you'd expect..but here? they just fell in the building without any collision..

those liitle things that made the first great are missing here..

but yes i admit city building is fun..till it gets boring

I thought that in the first game the creature training was a *censored* to do well, pardon my French. I didn't like how easy it was to miss your creature doing something that you wanted it to do more, making it really hard for it pick up what you wanted to do. The list of actions that has been put in is a very good one IMO.

Er yeah, but this thread is a good 6 months + old now, and your post doesn't really add anything to the discussion. Please see the rules on thread necromancy. Thanks. ;)

Locking this.
