NicholasRyker
Hey, using Mod Organizer to run Skyproc patcher for Dual Sheath Redux, but when I try to add the patcher to the executable I can only open files rather than create a new location for the patcher so i can run it, annoying at the least. This is probably a simple fix for most of you, but I don't know what to do.
myztikrice
You can only open files? Huh? Locate the file in the Data tab to the right, right click and select Add as executable
NicholasRyker
Yeah, it's weird. I do that, then it opens up the library where I can open files. I presume it wants me to save the patcher in a specific location, but I can only open files instead of saving the patcher. Edit: It says I should save a file as a Binary.exe, not sure if that helps at all. Edit: I guess I need to know what should happen for most people when they press add executable. myztikrice
You need to add the .jar file, then select it from the dropdown menu and select Run. I still don't know what you mean when you say 'it opens the library.'
NicholasRyker
I wanted to use Mod Organizer, but I can try .jar, can you give me a step by step? Ugh. too much of a hassel. Just gotta dump immersive animations entirely if i cant get it to work. Edited February 16, 2014 by NicholasRyker
guiguizmo91
Hello everyone. I am experiencing the same issue as the OP. To explain what he meant, here's a screenshot of what happens when I select "Add as an executable". As I understand it, I should only have to type a name and that would be all, but as you can see, I need to select a binary. Any idea ? http://s1.postimg.org/bqauvm6ff/Capture.jpg Thanks. :)
UncleBen0310
I'm late as anything to this but I'm also experiencing the same problem did either of you guys find any type of solution because it would be very appreciated. edit - figured it out this only shows up if you don't have 32 bit version of java installed on your pc Edited December 30, 2016 by UncleBen0310
Purr4me
I am going to show this once, it's not Skyrim but it is the same thing. A *.jar file is ran as an executable in Java language, it's considered an "executable" worker. The skyprocer Goes into the games data folder. That is where you direct MO additional support windows too.
Purr4me
Now, if you do not have Java installed? well nothing will work at all. Windows even shows "select Binary"
xllKeineAhnunglx
I had the same problem and I did a little bit of experimenting in order to get it to work. Turns out that winrar was set as preffered method of opening .jar files, which is why it couldn't be added as executable. To fix this, simply locate the .jar file in your explorer, rightclick it, select properties and cange the "Opens with:" to java. At least that did the job for me, I hope I could at least help some of you.
