Mod Organizer/How to add as excutable

Recommended Posts

Hey, using Mod Organizer to run Skyproc patcher for Dual Sheath Redux, but when I try to add the patcher to the executable I can only open files rather than create a new location for the patcher so i can run it, annoying at the least.

This is probably a simple fix for most of you, but I don't know what to do.

Yeah, it's weird. I do that, then it opens up the library where I can open files. I presume it wants me to save the patcher in a specific location, but I can only open files instead of saving the patcher.

Edit: It says I should save a file as a Binary.exe, not sure if that helps at all.

Edit: I guess I need to know what should happen for most people when they press add executable.

Hello everyone. I am experiencing the same issue as the OP.

To explain what he meant, here's a screenshot of what happens when I select "Add as an executable". As I understand it, I should only have to type a name and that would be all, but as you can see, I need to select a binary. Any idea ?

Thanks. :)

I am going to show this once, it's not Skyrim but it is the same thing. A *.jar file is ran as an executable in Java language, it's considered an "executable" worker.

The skyprocer Goes into the games data folder. That is where you direct MO additional support windows too.

I had the same problem and I did a little bit of experimenting in order to get it to work. Turns out that winrar was set as preffered method of opening .jar files, which is why it couldn't be added as executable. To fix this, simply locate the .jar file in your explorer, rightclick it, select properties and cange the "Opens with:" to java.

At least that did the job for me, I hope I could at least help some of you.
