gameraragorn
Remember the Morrowind Journey book, when you where far in the game you had a questlist of 100 days so when you didn't complete a previous quest in day let say 4 you had to scroll all the way back to see what your quest was, annoying I think. So my question is will there be an active and a solved questside in the Journey??
Malchik
You mean journal I assume. In most cases you could flip directly to the last quest entry but it was a little hit or miss. I imagine that they will keep something similar in Oblivion. I never used the journal much. What I found most irritating was that sometimes it didn't record what you most needed (directions for instance) and on others it actually gave hints that were not mentioned anywhere else. Maybe there will be more scope in Oblivion for adding your own notes to the journal? Any idea Switch?
Switch
I'm pretty sure they're not allowing for notes in the journal. However they're definitely not keeping the old system either. I quote: Yes, journal is much improved. Not only the journal UI, but the way in which we, the designers, have been using it. We give the player much clearer goals, and state those in the journal so the player has a record of his/her adventures. The next objective in any quest is also right there at your fingertips. So I don't think you'll have any problems looking up information anymore. Although I did like the way the old journal genuinely felt at least slightly like a real journal... I hope this new one isn't just like one of those generic quest logs.
