SilentGuardian98
Hi, Trying to reintall SKSE, and I get this error when trying the install application: "Error opening file for writing: E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\skse_loader.exe Click Abort to stop the application,Retry to try again, orIgnore to skip this file." If I manually copy and place the files, or extract them, and run skse_loader this error occurs: "Launching E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\\TESV.exe failed (5)" It happens on both builds of SKSE from the website, Administrator privileges are fine, Steam is running, and Skyrim is a fresh install. bben46
You being the administrator and a particular program having administrator privileges are two separate things - thank MS for this bit of mass confusion. RIGHT click on the SKSE_loader and select 'Run as Administrator' from the list.
Tulsa299
try verifying your game through steam... If that doesn't work delete all of the skse files and install it again, maybe look at a video to check you're doing it right

I had seen that video a few times previously, but I had never done it exactly as Gopher says and run the archived Data folder through NMM, because previously I never needed to. But doing this seemed to fix the problem. Thank you! Edited February 18, 2014 by SilentGuardian98
