Help!!! FOSE doesn't know that I have 1.7!!&#3

Okay, so I recently uninstalled FO3, then I reinstalled it to my Games directory, right? My problem is, I installed the FOSE beta9 v1.1 and then I installed the 1.7 patch. For some reason, every time I launch FOSE through FOMM it comes up with a message saying " You have the original retail version of Fallout. Please patch to the latest version available from www.bethsoft.com" I NEED help soon, because I'm going on a trip and won't have internet access for a week. HELP!

FOSE beta 9.7 works with the Patch

every new patch needs an adapted fose, so it's recommended to use the latest fose version

Ok, problem solved, it turns out I never FULLY uninstalled FO3, and I had apparently installed it in two places :P. Thanks for the help

Hey, i got the same problem, i have fook and download fook 2, so i uninstall the whole fallout 3 cause i don`'t remember where are the fook files. Then i reinstaled the game, geck, fook2, fomm, fose v1.2 b2, the dlc (Anchorage, the pitt, zeta, broken steel, and PointLookout) and some other mods. i was using the Official Fallout 3 Patch 1_6. Finaly Run the fomm and launch fose and i got this message -"You have the original retail version of Fallout. please patch it to the latest version available from www. bethsoft.com"-.

 

so i upgrade to Official Fallout 3 Patch 1_7 but nothing changes.

britanol said he never uninstall totally the game, but i already unisntall and manually delete the remaining files in the Fallout 3 directory and still got the message.

Really? it doesnt? oh well it happens to me too , what i did is : I uninstalled whole fallout 3 including saves. and i install fallout 3 again and patched it at http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/downloads/updates.html And then i DOWNLOADED Fose and FOMM,try it you too. hope it works for you :)
