Eshenaleros
I'd like to build a spellsword character, however, I'm at a loss for how to optimize his combat ability (and I need optimizing. I have FCOM) First off, I use Conduit magic (which lets me cast spells through a weapon), Galerion unarmored (which gives me an armor bonus in the form of a constant shield based on my acrobatics skill), and midas magic, so those should help, but I don't know what birthsign to choose, what most of my skills should be, and the race to optimize it all (probably breton, I know, but if there's a custom race you feel would work well please tell me). suggestions? jaysus
breton - magic - thief - luck and enduranceits simply the best formula for whatever you wanna play... reason: breton:has 50% magic resistance which is uncomparable... he has no real downside xcept a rather low health to start with magic: cause apart from marksman that is the most time taking stuff to level (restoration anyone?) thief: +10 luck!!! and 10 agi lol (or was it speed... doesnt matter its neat) luck and endurance: luck because it raises all of your skills effectiveness behind the scenes and endurance to counter your low stareting health and also because it is the only stat that raises somin according to your level... thus high endurance at low lvls means higher hp at higher lvls... skillwise it depends a bit... if you wanna level fast and be strong in the beginning take skills you actually use alot, if you want to become the perfect slayer of doom you should really try to pick skills you basicly never use so you can level at will by training (conjuration, sneak, mysticism, illusion and o on have quite the training potential) and thus gain the 5 points during level up in a much more controlled fashion also lvling illusion high up is kinda useful... it has these charm spells which are basicly devastating... illusion is for god mode so to speak :Peither chamelon or charm (both for creatures and humans!)... both work miracles... charm your enemies and youll never have to fight em again, theyll do it for you, chameleon and you wont have to fight either... very cool there is also a mod called "runeskulls" somin... its bloody neat if you need that extra int or somin... it places skulls in the word which work like sigil stones but are way more powrful... should use it if you have trouble staying alive ;)
Inked
the above build is good but personally I'm more into the sword part in spellsword, and if thats you go redguard with the Thief. Have a very fast light armor, jumping kind of combat, and do mages guild early on to get the initial magic boost. do light armor destruction illusion blade, agility acrobatics, and omething of your choice, thats just my preference
