Night time Realism & frames drop

i'm looking forward for somebody coding a nice night mod with lower fps rate impact, replacing the overall textures with simpler ones and really dark ambient tones seeing only object contours, like nights are. Bethesda draws them far too bright considering that the moon isn't always visible or bright enough (hided behind clouds or decrescent) to light up all the surroundings of a landscape.

You might want to give this mod a go. It basically makes night time pitch black. It is one of my favorites because it makes having a light source on you when traveling at night essential. Some of the northern areas are slightly brighter due to the snow and on nights when the moon is full it is also slightly brighter. But for the most part.. prepare to be bumping into all sorts of things if you're caught outside without a light. I really love how I can see just the basic shapes of the mountain line with the cascade of stars illuminating the sky. I also love how when I'm approaching a town at night, you can see the distant lights of windows of each house which really adds to my immersion and quite frankly, makes any town extra warm and inviting to a wary traveler.

 

There is zero impact on performance with this mod (at least for me) so you should not see any FPS loss.

Uhm…that sounds really cool. I'll try it another time !

My problem is that i look constantly for interesting fps drop mods because i run Skyrim inside a wrapper, which is very fast, but not always, especially with nice textures.

Second, some mods -seem- not to work for me, like realistic nights. (i have more or less 50 working mods installed now)

Another one is the MoreSoundOptions-mod; my volume isnt that loud, not even on max.

Maybe because i cannot run BOSS or Skse to load things in the correct order.
