wilytilt
Hey I posted this on the Bethesda FO forums but got no answers there, maybe a console master can help me here?? My female character with Black Widow took the seduction dialogue with Burke that begs him to find someone else to attack Megaton. This made him run away and send me four stupid love letters, and also makes it impossible to get the quest to blow up and Megaton. I played like 15 levels after seducing him thinking I could get the quest option later, but just found out I can't... In the console, I've tried to use resetquest for "Power of the Atom", and "Prid / Kill / Resurrect/ Disable/ Enable" on Burke, and then talking to Simms to start the quest, in different orders. It never works - I think the problem is when Burke spawns there's always a console msg that says he "Picks up TravelPackage()", which means that all he says is "Patience ... I'll send for you" with no dialogue box. This happens when I kill/resurrect him before resetting the quest and starting it again by talking to Simms. If I resetquest, restart it, and kill/resurrect Burke in that order, it gives me a message telling me I can't be rewarded for blowing Megaton, and Burke still says "Patience"... So am I SOL or is there a solution :wallbash: ? Trying to fix this for an evil character, even though I don't play with a house I want to nuke MT and at least check out my suite in Tenpenny
xaechireon
Oh wow, he actually sends love letters? Anyhow, I think this bunch of console commands might be useful to you.

Thanks for the suggestion! Before reading this I actually did figure it out, using these from that section of the wiki: sqs base id - list all quest objective levels (stages). Use with setstage.setstage base id Quest Objective - sets a quest to an objective level useful for resetting bugged scripts All I had to do was try all of the setstages til I found the one which gave me the fusion cell and the option to blow up MT. It wasn't necessary to enable/move Burke, although I did anyway in the bar with prid ___ /enable/moveto player, and he acted normally with dialogue afterward. HTH for anyone else having issues w quests.
