Hey,

I am planning to wipe out paradise falls but i want to keep some of the npcs and i still want to be able to buy/sell with them. Is there any console command or mod that will let me make them go form hostile to friendly even after i have turned the town hostile? or how would i do this in the geck?

Well, there's the function command: SetAllyFaction

Generally, this is used for scripts, but you can easily perform the function in the console as well. The only problem is in the console, you will have to find the id numbers of the factions rather than the names, since different factions can have the same name in Fallout3.

Also is I have no idea what other scripts that involve paradise fall might be doing. While this above command will work, there might be a script that is automatically running in the background that constantly checks to see if any paradise falls npcs are dead and if they are, it might automatically set you back to being an enemy. Feel free to try, but I'm not guaranteeing anything. The only way to guarantee it is to go into geck and physically edit it.

I happen to know for a fact that the moment you hit someone with a normal weapon, the entire slaver faction will go hostile and stay that way. I seem to recall that using the "kill" command also causes them to go hostile, but I'm not too sure.

One thing I think you can do, however, is to kick barrels and shopping carts at your foes until they die, and I don't think that will make them hostile. Haven't tried that recently, though.

Another thing that *might* work is to go to console mode, select a slaver and type this:

getpos z

Then if you get say 9000, you could try:

setpos z 9500

or

setpos z 10000

and see if the fall kills them.

Fallout3 has some odd faction use with certain npcs.

for instance, all the dead wastelanders you come across are actually raiders, so they will attack you if you resurrect them via the console.

in Paradise Falls, even the deaf old slave is part of the slaver faction...

i once used Sharing and Caring Companions to finally release him from the slavepen, to find he attacked me when i picked up some unowned Nuka-Cola.

if you want to keep the useful npcs, then it's best to use indirect methods to kill the rest.

i use the Bear Trap mod ( http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1917) for purposes such as this.
