bender190
Hi, i'm new to the forum, i've registered a few days ago after i discovered the nexus and all the great mods here  i also wanted to ask about a problem i have with my fallout 3 game, i've played the main game without problems, now however i have installed both operation anchorage and broken steel, and i've restarted to play with my lv 20 character. However now i have a very annoying problem, basically the game run smootly with very high video options, but every minute or so the game "freeze" for a few seconds, and then keep going normally. The strange thing is that i have no lag at all, the game run perfectly, except for these continuos little freezes. I have tried to lower the graphic options to no avail. These freeze happen regardless of me being in some frenzy battles, where the PC have to work more, or me wandering in the wilderness, so i don't understand the cause of the problem. It's really frustating to have these continuos freeze, can someone help me? my pc is a Q6600, with 3 gig of ram, a 9800GT, win xp. Thanks in advance! :thanks:

bender190
I played with the best settings, no problem for all the game, then this issue started, can it be related to the fact that i play with both broken steel and anchorage?BTW lowering the graphic options don't solve it. As for the mods, i've installed a bit of them, but that issue started before i installed them, so thy're not the culprits. Wandik
this short freezes could point to small cache, when the game is loading more resources as you move in the world. i would suggest to set swap file size to "windows reccomend" and turn off sw running on background. defrag should help too...
