GOsteW
Ok, I installed the GECK form the nexus and the Creation Kit from Steam. MO automatically recognized both. So now, when I wanto to mod the games on my laptop, I use my hard drive with the partitions of the games and I don't need Steam and the games to be installed in the laptop anymore, right? One problem: should I leave the "My Games" folder inside My Documents on the laptop, or paste in there a copy of the one on the PC? The games and the apps will look for the ini files so they will be needed...
Purr4me
should I leave the "My Games" folder inside My Documents on the laptop, or paste in there a copy of the one on the PC?correct, the geck does not nor ever will require steam, the only game I know of that does in fact require steam enabled for use of the kit's are Skyrim, others? not much popularity with them. the whole theme here seems to revolve around only two formats as far as I can tell for all the tools and Even nmmFOMod.dll OMod.dllThis was taken Directly from this folder path for the very same data required for internet resolves. as follows.E:\Mod Organizer v1_2_9-1334-1-2-9\NCC\ModFormatsNCC represent all internet connectivity required for NMM operations for MO, the down loader program, there is zero other assets involved, no Dragon age, no Cryengine stuff, no other games I can see. Now understand, this was only for Bethesda made games, has always been that, what may follow may change all of this so it's not written in stone, it is all there is right now. there are over 93+ games now listed as supported, how many are Embedded into Nmm has zero to do with editing. so we got that clear? all apps are to remain as normal for both systems. the tools require normal dive locations and installs. you can copy steam games for editing isolation but can not use it for use, the edited files are to be packed up and installed into the online game so to be registered and tested live.your laptop only needs to connect to a usb drive, you partitioned drive, you use the same drive for both, but you use the editing software off line, away from internet influences, keep others out of your personal business. there is no need to be online to edit games anyway except CK types, or EA games. Both systems require ini files. Steams involvements is rather different, it uses version control which off the table for your question application.kitty
GOsteW
I have a little big problem XD My partitions are G and H in the PC, but E and F in the laptop, so MO doesn't find the games. What can I do to fix that? If I tell MO in my laptop to find the games, MO won't find them in the PC...

What I mean in lament terms is cd\roms or software generated hardware assignments. magic disc and magic iso, magic iso does not require to be registered and you will not ever use it, but magic disc requires you have magic iso installed, Dependencies always . Google magic disc, down load and install it, reboot, use the OS and it to reassign disc usage and drive letters so when it is complete, the hard drives register in the correct spots so the software fins the correct vectors. kitty
GOsteW
Can't I simply use the Disk Management?
Purr4me
Can't I simply use the Disk Management? This is why not:Write Catching Windows Defender Windows swap file usage Windows permissions Windows Backup on every data byte written to and from. Windows anti Virus, Any Antivirus programs are given full access to it. Memory leaks, Hard drive Abuse and way too much data "Overload"The reason we use or I suggested a Emulator is because it is not subject to the above. It is a software /hard ware Emulator for "CD / ROMS" there is no write catching, permissions, defending for an Empty slot.there is no data usage there. it's simple a drive letter assignment and it does in fact Break lose of the systems restrictions policies that effect an image disc. you wanted to know how? I gave you the only option that is safe, clean and quick....No fuss, No mess, and it is considered the best hardware Emulator ever devised to date. you chose your path, I can only lead you to it, I can't make you walk it. magic disk can assign not only 27 drives, Drive letters, it can use the numerical system Too for Unix systems. Thousands of virtual drives. show me a Operating system that is Not going to try and write to thousands of drives? I want one. the lap top has say two partitions, but the Pc may have more. So you want to use as little space on the laptop as possible, it may not have the space required for a lot of terror data thrashing going on. C:\ is Root. A laptop will already have D:\ assigned to the DVD reader or if the LP TP is already partitioned, E:\ the PC is where your main internet thing is? I forget which..........if the drive letter where all the data is defaulted too is say Drive F: or Drive G:\ <---? all you need is an Emulator that permanently assigned that spot for a CD rom image. That image is the copy of the PC or the LP TP downloading location. NOTE: an image will not be allowed to be written too from the internet when loaded, windows prevents this, it can get corrupted by bad things though so that is still always going to be there. On your lap top, from the factory, there is a hidden partition for the hard wares software installation packages and it is no accessible to any outside interferences. you need access to this data your Emulating but restrict it from the internet threats. an iso image is the key.all that's really all you need..........................................................G:\...........................kitty

Purr4me
Ok, I installed Magic ISO and Magic Disk, but I can't figure out how to chang the letter of the drives... Could you help me, please?http://s26.postimg.org/bo40wi2dl/Magic_1.jpg http://s26.postimg.org/idakcinpl/Magic_2.jpgBasic ,only 1 PC unit needs this software installed, but you may find it Essential software, so, in order to Go backwards as it is only an up hill device Emulatoer for CD/Roms, any USB device are not the same, so they are treated on a different scaling device manner. In that case, *.jpg 2 is how to Undo the assignment for USB's, magic is wonderful, it does not forget things. #1 shows the properties maxed out so you get an idea of just how many ISO images can be loaded at once. never disable all drive at the same time reduce 4 maximum till there is only 4 or less to disable the Emulator. reboot ,and then reset a usb device , reassign it's drive letter if you need too. there are two ways to approach this Drive assigning method. 1 with a USB plugged in will assign a CD/Rom to the next letter available or if there are no USB plugged in, and you make CD/Roms ...say two or 3 of them, and then plugin the USB drive, it now takes it's new Drive letter by way of the next available slot...Magic and the OS maintain these letters assignments. Use strategic methods for Path testaments.kitty
GOsteW
But... can I unistall Magic ISO and Magic Disc after I've done this process?
Purr4me
`you can simply use ccleaner to disable the starup mechanism used for magic dic's properties. no need to remove it, it is complexly harmless. you will find that in time , you will need this process for other things. In the shots I provided, My disc manager is disabled from any startup programs. but, as a hardware emulator, any ISO images loaded will remain loaded provided the source of that image is online. if you say, store your images on an external USB book as I do some, then remove the USB, the image is remaining in RAM as if it were plugged in, but, the data on that image is just a system snapshot of what was....there is nothing actaully there. if you were to use the Operating system to try and duplicate any of this, you end up with a real messed up system. But... can I unistall Magic ISO and Magic Disc after I've done this process?Yes, of course, if you do not trust it, nor like it. it is your choice. Question: is there e a problem?
