Hello. I decided to create a Tropical world with Skyrim Creation Kit but I'm having a lot of difficulties to add Palm Trees in my mod. I downloaded free 3D models ( http://tf3dm.com/3d-model/palm-tree-81892.html ) and converted them in .nif. But when I try to open them in NifSkope, I can't see the texture whereas I set the folders properly. I think I just suck at editing files and stuffs like that so here is my question :

Is there somewhere a database with modders resources where I might find tropical trees/flora for Skyrim ? I think I might be able to use them in SCK without difficulties but the Blender-Nifskope thing is really hard to understand.

If there is not such things I will try to ask the creator of "Tropical Skyrim" for his models and textures.

Thanks in advance for your answers !

PS : here is a quick screenshot of what I did so far (not a lot) : http://hpics.li/6da71d4

Ya, my mod uses palm trees [and other tropical plants].

The main resources I used from the Skyrim Nexus are these [these 3 are modder's resources; all you need to do is credit them in your mod description].

GKB Green Treesby Ga-Knomboe Boy [used in Tropical Skyrim]

New Plants 1_2by Tamira

Hoddminir Water plantsby Elinen and Ztree

There's also one resource from Oblivion I wanted to use [i pm'ed the author, haven't heard back]; it's free-to-use for Oblivion, but I don't think/know if it can be used for Skyrim [thus, I'm not using it].

KoniptionsKreations - ResourcePack 1by Koniption

I think you can take these Oblivion nifs, and paste them into a "Static" Skyrim nif [using nifskope].

Good luck

PS - your image looks great!; keep up the good work :)

Hello UWShocks

Thanks for those precious informations, I will ask their authorization to use their models for my World. It's exactly what I was looking for. The Resourcepack from Oblivion looks great, too bad you didn't have a reply from the author.

Thanks again and have fun on Skyrim !

And now I'm having difficulties to find Ruins/Temple/Statues stuff even in the Nexus' Resources. I guess I'll have to use what I find in Skyrim default data...

Anyway, this is how it looks with the next trees : http://hpics.li/4d1546e
