Favorite weapons?

Well, the title says it all! What are your favourite weapons?

 

Please include vanilla weapon and modded and why you like it, like me...

 

Mine are:

 

Vannila: Goldbrand, looks cool, ITS GOLD! and at my level, it owns!

 

Modded: Has to be... the Gold Elven bow from the Armanetarium mod (dunno if the mod name is spelt right..."

Vanilla: Goldbrand and all the fine steel weapons. They looked nice.

Modded: Maybe one of Adonnay's swords, or Frostmourne by jojjo(sp)

My character uses the Meteoric bow (unenchanted) from the mod "Buy Umbacano Manor".

He who has played the game a million billion times and now plays it again fo shits and giggles and makes himself Armor that turns his character into some Kind of mix of Man and Refrigerator who could absorb all the Damage that has been done in all the historic Wars combined if he wants to has a character that will live on... well, a really really long time ;D

 

 

My favorite Weapons, just for the Looks, would be the fine steel Longsword. For maces i'm of two minds, either the molag Bal thingy or the elven mace.

Axes: That would be the Elven War Axe.

The Elven Claymore also looks nice, equal to the fine steel claymore imho. Shadowrend looks nice =)

 

In the Dagger category, the Elven Dagger takes the cake.

Bows: The Glass Bow is my Pick for that.

The fine steel weapons look great! Don't have any modded favorites because I don't download eyecandy. I prefer a good quest. ;D

Of the normal range of weapons, and purely aesthetically, I like pretty much all the Elven weapons, and especially the dagger (Sufferthorn couldn't be anything else) and the claymore. Fine steel's nice too, and probably my favorite of the longswords. I haven't used blunt weapons as much and can't say for sure, but again I tend to like the Elven ones the best-- especially the battleaxe.

 

For pure practicality-- considering damage and reach and weight and speed-- I think the Daedric shortsword wins hands down. It's also, to me, the most vicious looking normal vanilla weapon, and would be my aethetic favorite if that was the way my tastes ran.

 

Of the unique weapons-- I really like Umbra, but would probably have to go with Goldbrand-- again, aesthetically.

 

Of mod weapons-- currently, I'm really liking one I just downloaded last night-- Hel Borne's Ayleid Longsword, but I think my favorites are still all from Andragorn, and especially the Thorgeir broadsword, the Induin scimitar and battleaxe and the Araelion shortsword and war sword. And that Araelion War Sword gets my vote as the nicest single weapon I've seen in this game. Yet.

 

 

*edit* Just now saw that Andragorn has uploaded a new set of weapons and armor (Andragorn's Weapons and Armor), so there might be a new favorite soon..... :biggrin:

Umbra's texture looks terrible in Vanilla. Those weapons you like, gpstr1, are nice. I think I'll download a few.

Vanilla: Not sure why, but I'm rather fond of Daedric longswords.

 

Mods: Some of Nicorishi's weaponry is great, as are a few of the swords from Romuska Fantasy Store by VanillaBeans. My sword and axe cravings are filled, but I'm still looking for a beautiful bow. I like the black-gold one from Apachii's Goddess Store, but something's missing. *continues hunting*
