OutLaw666
I want to change the name and plugin name of my currently named "sniper bow pack" mod. To make everything fit together i also need to change the root folder names. Here is the problem: There are 16 bows in it, most bows are made out of more than 15 separate meshes (nitri shapes) inside the nif. Each nitri shape uses 4 textures (.dds, e.dds, m.dds, n.dds).Do i really have to reassign the path of each texture manually for each nitri shape of each nif file, or is there any workaround?Jesus! I would probably need weeks to do it manually!! :wallbash:
IsharaMeradin
You do not need to change your folder assignments. Just change your mod name. You should pack your textures and meshes inside of a BSA file. If you do that, the end user will never see that your folder assignments differ from your new mod name. jet4571
You can also assign alternate textures in the CK. In the bottom of the miscellaneous section is texture sets. create a new one and assign textures there. In the weapon when you open the Model Data window to assign your nif there is Alternate textures with a list of the NITriShapes in the nif. double click the NiTriShape you want to change and assign the Texture Set you want it to use. All models can be done this way so you never have to make 2 nif's with the same exact mesh because of a texture difference.
