installing vanilla oblivion then goty...

My comp was wiped recently (actually got it working like 2 hours ago as of this post) and when to go get my copy of GOTY Oblivion, only to find that among the three disks in there, one being disk two of GOTY oblivion, and the other two random pc game disks i cant find the case for, disk one of GOTY is missing T.T

 

But I've got my copy of vanilla oblivion (non-GOTY) and was wondering if it was possible to install the vanilla, non-GOTY version then disk two of GOTY version.

 

Also, just putting it out there, but before i got GOTY, i had 'wiped' Oblivion, that is, pretty much cleaned my hard drive of anything related to Oblivion so i could re-install it (usually when addons ****ed up the game) and had some problems with it towards the end, as in the game crashed whenever i tried to start it up, so this might cause problems, but i'd really prefer to just find disk one of GOTY, if i cant find it then i'll just go out and buy a new copy -.-

I was just wondering myself the same thing, see my goty disk 1 is scratched so bad that it sometimes dont work.

So i was wondering could i buy the oblivion bioshock bundle and use the oblivion disk, and THEN add the knights/shivering expansion from goty???

If it were me I'd just contact Bethesda tech support and ask for a new disk.

you'd be better off installing vanilla and then getting the SI disc. I'm sure sure what disc two holds it may just be SI,you could try it and see what happens

Not sure, but I think Disk 2 has the update patches as well in GOTY.
