Calm down Monolithic. So I didn't see the subtlties of the English language in his post and didn't know if he had or not. And maybe he had just seen videos of it and knew all those things from watching them.

Of course I played it. No i didnt go and waste the money on it but my friend did. So we played it for a grant total or like two hours, and got bored very very fast. The god-aweful players on the online play ruin it entirely. Everyones just out to find some stupid hidden spot on the map so they can just sit and gun down the first player that walks by.

Haha I would even go so far as to say that if there werent any new players to MW2, multiplayer matches would NEVER end because no one would get kills. Everyone would just be lying prone in corners of building waiting for someone to walk by.

GARBAGE!

The only reason we played the multiplayer for that long is because we discovered Semtex grenades were in there, and proceeded to try and get only kills only by sticking people with the Semtex grenades haha. That was fun lol.

As for the rest of it. Its "meh". Ive never been impressed by any of the CoD games...like never lol.

I have not tried it online yet, only played co-op with a friend. Probably will not play MP unless they fix the MP dedi server thing and like in most games when they first come out it will have it's fair share of %$#@%!@#$!@#$%#@ that ruin the experience for ever1 else. Over the years I have found it best to get together with friends and or people that you know are good and respectful players and enjoy MP games. Of course it is fun to hunt campers. I realized I was a serious opponent for this game but once I realized I was just gonna play it co-op VEGAS 2 style I figured what the hell. I still feel that PC people more and more are starting to get the middle finger from whomever makes the games I guess it is smart business really... go where the money is.

One thing to note however, maybe "MAYBE" the dedi server thing could have been overlooked "IF" you were given the ability to "rcon" your hosted server so instead of having to vote kick someone who is disruptive to the experience you could just ban them. And if the offense was major enough add their GUID to a global ban list so they were banned from all gaming servers (for those that do not know when you globally ban a GUID, that person has to purchase another copy of the game) taking away PunkBuster was a major mistake.

Lol like I said the only fun me and my friend had was throwing the sticky grenades at people lol. That part was fun, everything else just got annoying. To me it just looks like they made it to work mainly as a multiplayer game (Halo 3 lol). Yes there is a campaign, but come on whose going to play a short campaign 10000 times. No one, thats who. So why bother when the money is in the multiplayer. No matter what, people are going to buy the game. Even if they started chargin monthly just to play it, people are going to do it. Its just how things are now days.

I agree with playing MP games with youre buddies, thats the only time I ever play console games. Im not good at all at them but its fun to run around with youre friends.

and as I predicted in my previous post, the server problem has been fixed by teknogods.

The fix being "TeknoMW2 1.0 - Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Loader" (this could actually get away with not being considered copyright poo, as it does not actually modify original game content), and it requires a Steam acc. to play online (but as i predicted as well, you simply execute an additional exe from the game folder in which you add the IP of the server you wanna use).

so if you use it, my advise would be to not use your real Steam acc. as there's a good chance that acc. will be blacklisted eventually but at least that issue is somewhat solved.

Well, the gaming industry believe it or not is actually now bigger than the movie industry. Modern Warfare 2 actually had the biggest debut in entertainment history. I don't know why one wouldn't get it. It's a great game, but opinions do matter, which I respect yours even though I don't agree/care.

Well I originally was not going to buy it but I did. I bought a copy for my friend and one for me, as he does not get out much and I wanted to play games with him. As far as single player goes it was really fun. As far as co-op Spec-ops goes it was more than really fun. I tried multi player for about 60 minutes and in that time I made a grim discovery and confirmed some statements that had been made. The short of it is, you cannot kick or ban people from the server you are on even if it is your own computer just as you cannot password protect your server so only your friends can play. The discovery I made was that you can have a "private match" with just your friends and since they are your friends there would be no need for banning or kicking however if you hold a private match you do not gain any points toward unlocks and do not gain experience at all.

So essentially that means that IW has said "you can play with just your friends but if you do you don't get $#@$@#$ for it because we really want you to play the way we want you to and that is with a lot of #@%$@#$#@% on laggy servers so you don't enjoy any of it"

There is an old cheesy saying that goes "Look forward to the journey, not the destination". It applies for games to me more than anything. You play a game to enjoy the experience and you'll play the game for longer than 6 hours. You rush through the game as fast as you can on hard difficulty and then your stuck with a brand new game you're bored of and 26 pounds wasted.

Sides..even if you can't get into the story again..and you happen to be a fanatic on doing things fast.. you should look for the intel items scattered throughout the levels..without using the internet to cheat your way to them..do that on veteran difficulty while your at it.. it'll give a few more enjoyable hours of playtime. OH! and don't forget about online play!

Lastly.. if you've pwned all the intel items and you're on your 15th prestige and tired of online play.. it's time to do something you probally haven't done to often in linear games.. apply your imagination to it.. This will make old gameplay new once again and is one of the reasons i have yet to get tired of this kickass game.
