ninjaking92
I installed the oblivion construction set beacause I wanted to try making mods. My game crashes before it even makes it to the first preview. I tryed everything in the book and then some to fix my game and here I am two weeks later and its not working! :wallbash: I know it had to be the construction set beacause everything worked before I got it. I tryed re-installing the game more times then I can count in all kinds of different folders. I tryed cleaning my regerstry and still had no luck at all. I even uninstalled the construction set and all of my mods and the modd manager and still had the same results. If you guys know anything that will help me let me know. Oh and before I am asked no I am not using windows vista. I have windows 7 64 bit.
David Brasher
Windows 7 is an unknown commodity to me. I have a hunch that it is your problem. I believe TES CS was designed to work with Windows XP. TES CS does not work so smoothly with Vista. It seems plausible that TES CS would work even worse with Windows 7 than with Vista. I suggest that you research it from that angle. I know people are starting to post comments about their Oblivion-playing experience with Windows 7 on this site. They are probably also starting to talk about their modding experience on the new operating system.
AncientSpaceAeon
XP Forever !!! (Really ? Reinstalling the game won't work ? Try this : http://s1.zetaboards.com/TheStormRavenLibr...opic/1716292/1/ and http://s1.zetaboards.com/TheStormRavenLibr...opic/1446421/1/ Not really sure that can solve your problem)
dezdimona
bethesda states implicitly that it does not support vista, but people here that mod some use vista with no hassles. When you uninstalled, did you remove all the files left behind after the uninstall? they need to be manually removed. That may be the source of your problem
