euuuuuuuuu

:D lolz

man i've never had that happen

FWE got built into FOOK1.6 a while back didn't it

Idk I don't use FWE

I don't scan for errors either, I pretty much open it up an look for red.

The ubers are telling me to merge patch now, which sounds rather interesting,

You kind of have to build it though. If you ask me I think it sort of makes

compatiblity patches not really needed anymore. I haven't really done it yet.

Just woke up.

I'm not saying anyone is wrong or anything.

But 6 or so months of playing fallout 3 in version 1.0 status

Even patch 1.0.35, geez stick a knife in it

1.0.15 1.4 1.5, and some master update versions

This being done on two seperate windows installs

and in maybe 6 or so fallout installs, you know with

maybe a 3-4 driver changes.

I don't have or use DLC's though which is the kicker here

And I've never seen spinning heads or broken necks

not once, but also I use windows XP Home SP3

So the question becomes are the spinning heads an broken necks caused by

1. Op system issues, hardware configuration, drivers&directX (Probably not, who knows,)

2. DLC's, or further, DLC's and using mods with them, the combo

3. Even further it could be the combo of 1 and 2, or even the stuff below.

I can't really get a diagnosis on it, because I've never seen it.

I do know that you can just get a plain old bad load up of the program (wierd issues)

which is just from needing to reboot your computer either from just having a CTD, or

from just having the computer turned on an being used for a long time (surfing, trolling, music, ebay)

Man that's tough

I'm going to go think about it.

Is there anything that would help me duplicate it maybe?

I searched around a few days ago in other forums to see what the issue could be. I found this one. I used his pic to show the "neckbreaking" issue. I also have an nVidia GeForce card but it's a different series. He says that this happens even without mods. He noticed that this started when he installed Zeta. I don't know if the solution is that simple because I disbaled Zeta and it problem is still going on. Something is wrong with the animations:

Yeah I agree...

Now that I've thought about what GSmanners said about it

an the sort of logic you can apply to the problem it's probably a combo of things that produce a glitch.

You can get bad loads of fallout 3,

so a reboot could fix this

someone needs to have it happen an reboot a bunch of times an see if it goes away without doing anything

Or someone have it happen in a un-modded version of fallout 3 (yeah right that's going to happen)

  • 8 months later...
I too had this exact same problem. Before you do ANYTHING (although it is a good idea to reset, reboot, update, etc. regularly anyways) Check ALL of your out of game and in game settings. Somehow all of my in game settings pertaining to view distance for all items was turned all the way down to 0. I turned them back up to normal and the skating exorcist problem completely disappeared.
