Xaxus88
Ok, so I just reinstalled fallout 3 in order to play some mods that just came out. Coming in fresh as I deleted everything related to FO3 when I uninstalled it last. I try to download a patch, any patch, it gets to like 13% it stops and the windows cmd box pops up, I get rid of the box and it continues on and dissapears when its done patching. Only problem is that it hasent patched since I tried to install and run FOSE it tells me constantly I have an unrecognized version even though im keeping inline with FOSE's requirements, even using the stable and beta versions of FOSE. Now suddenly I try to reinstall these patches the cmd line pops up again and this time takes me straight into the game at 13% and whatever happens to the patching process goes out the window and it ends up not patching right once again. Im at a loss, has this happened to anyone else?
readejc
It's happening to me right now. Patch 1.7 gets to 13%, then dies... G4WL is up to date via windowsupdate, but the patch just craps out. I can play teh game fine, but cannot use any of the DLC. HELP!
JimboUK
Have you used a crack, the Large Address Aware Enabler or anything else that may have altered the game or launchers executable? I'm not suggesting your involved in piracy as many people who buy their games like to get rid of the copy protection.
Xaxus88
No, I havent messed with copy protection or anything. Well it turns out it patched after all (1.6) but it dosent explain why FOSE keeps considering it an unrecognized version. I suppose I should take this to the mod support forum?
