Wyrmfang dagger

I absolutely love the wyrmfang dagger. Unfortunately, I don't have the knowledge to create an offensive version of the weapon. I have tried, but when i equip it ingame, my character acts as if he is holding a dagger, but nothing is there. Can anyone help me with this? I would love to run around with a wyrmfang dagger in either hand!

It's the Wyrmfang dagger by Nico. I'm trying to dual wield these:

When I try to pick up the offensive dagger and equip it, I get this:

There's got to be a simple explanation, right? I not very good at modding, but my guess is something in the mesh is telling the game to attach it to the left hand. I just have no idea how to change that.

Open the Wyrmfang dagger mesh in nifscope. Click on "View" and make sure "Block List"(BL) and "Block Details"(BD) are checked, also under "View" make sure it is set to "Show Blocks in Tree".

 

BL->Expand the 0 NiNode. Click on #2 NiStringExtraData.

BD->Look for "String Data" with a value of "Torch". Double Click "Torch" and change to "SideWeapon".

 

Save this mesh with a different file name if you intend to have both the off hand and main hand in your game. Change your main hand version in the CS to point to your new mesh. Should work as intended.
