Bounty&Infamy added on every load

Everytime I load up a saved game I start with a bounty of 700. I can clear it with the console, make a new save, and then load that new save it it will still be 0. But as I play through the game and go through loading screens for whatever reason, eventually another bounty comes back, for a random amount. My infamy goes up 1 point every time too it seems. I don't know what could be causing it. Any thoughts?

Also should mention that at some point I fast travelled with this glitch and was kicked out of all the guilds simultaneously. I haven't committed any crimes, so I don't get it.

Yes, I realize that this entry was posted four years ago. As of today, I seem to have a very similar issue (bounty and infamy re-appearing after each load). Even when loading an older save which I know to be clean, I now get infamy (mostly one, but sometimes more) and bounty. Has somebody found an explanation or way to handle his since?

If your problem is the same, I think the OP answered his or her own question. Getting booted from factions (guilds etc) for whatever reason will cause endless accrual of infamy and bounties for things a PC should be able to do, and going places where they should be able to go etc. The easiest although not fastest test is to see if the same problem happens with a new game.

Well, thank you, but my background is not exactly the same - I was not kicked out of any guilds (should have written that, true).

I have decided to consider it as a glitch for the time being, and loaded the last good save I have before this occurred.

 

I will continue to monitor infamy/bounty for some time to see if it starts to show again in the future - so far, everything is fine.
