excessium1
Wouldnt oblivion be more fun if you had a family to support. A son or daughter to tag along with you and fight some baddies. Maybe teach some tricks to. Maybe i have fable II on the brain, but id love to see some in depth interaction and a few quests. 1.get a wife2.buy a home3.purchase the needed furnishings4.over a period of time have a child.5.pay a mnthly salary to keep them happy,6.watch your child grow7. Have them tag along in your adventures.8.accidentally watch them die-oops, or age accordingly. 9. come and see them anytime.

TheCalliton
the time it takes for the MQ is about a weekyou could play oblivion for months and only have about a month ingame to go by a kid would not work oblivion is a KILL EVERYTHING game, not a family game
eleglas
Thats true, Calliton, while Oblivion is a killing game it is also highly moddable, meaning we can bend the type of game you wish it to be so long as we don't reach game limits. This game can be anything to anyone, and we can make it that. This request is 100% possible, will require ALOT of scripts, but I'm new to Oblivion and can't do it, I'm just working my way around this construction set, its SO different to GECK! Chance of getting this done: 7/10, likely.
ipegot
I think Calliton's point is how time works in Oblivion. Ive done 150 quests on my current character, Main quest line, an assortment of side quests(nearly all artifact related quests), some shrines, all of the fighters, mages and thieves guild. Plus random dungeonearing and time wasted testing out my own mods this save has 190 days passed in game time. It would take a long time to actually get anywhere in terms of having and raising a child, I couldnt imagine my game as having 3000+ days in game. excessium1
Yes but a quest could be made to expand and require so many days etc... SO after completeion it took 1XXX amount of days. Just a thought, and i do disagree with that it is not a family possible game. If its not, why so many royal families, and back stories? I do agree with this game can be anything to anyone. Time will tell :)
Slawter500
Dont get your hopes up :P ive seen 3 or 4 topics like this pop up, never been modded. Although that doesn't mean this won't its entirely possible EDIT: Ive got a kind of solution for you, At least in the short term. Download a child race mod. Be the child. Use the console to copy the player, I dont remember the exact command something like createfullactorcopy. Then use the console again to change yourself to an adult race.
