Nuebus
I was trying to get multiple copies of the different suits of armour I use; problem is, very few of the authors give the Base ID of those suits; preferring to give a set location to find them instead. How do you find the Base IDs? I've tried checking the G.E.C.K but either I'm doing something wrong or its not there.
Quetzlsacatanango
It is in GECK in the shorty column between Editor ID and Count, called Form ID. You have to expand it yourself. I don't know of a way to find it from within the game.
c2552
edit: er, too slow.. The Base ID is called Form ID in the GECK and you should find it between "Editor ID" (the name in the GECK) and "Count".I had to make the column bigger and I guess that's why you didn't find it ;)Alternatively, you can point at the item with your cursor and you will get it, too. gsmanners
If you're running FOSE, when you use console mode you can click on the armor and type GetBaseObject (or just gbo). With that info, you can then use player.additem id num or whatever.

baduk
I recommend that you use fo3edit to get the formid for stuff cause its easier to read.
Nuebus
Hmm. Just got home to try this; but I checked the label and they say FormID; not BaseID. 8 Digit letters/numbers; and trying to use player.additem <insertthemhere> 1 doesn't work. I'm so lost. Holty07
Another easy way to get something... open the console. Click the NPC or container (I think) and type "inv" that will give you a list of all the items that person has along with BaseID's not refIDs. Then you can type player.additem <item> 1 with that number and it will DEFINITELY work. Only problem with this is that someone has to have it first! :P
