Nexusaurus
Exactly. The general knows this, and understands that cooperation is needed to survive in this harsh environment. He is very willing to negotiate, because he knows the usual tactics of raiding and banditry just won't work here. He can't just be another Great Khans. He wants to be a legitimate and respected community. the problem is, his lieutenants want to revert to the old ways of savagery and terror. so, this dilemma could be solved in two ways. You could side with the general and peacefully negotiate a trade agreement with the outside, or you could join the Coup and launch secret raids on water caravans under the General's nose. maybe when this happens there could be random encounters in the wastelands where caravans go to the divide peacefully if you choose negotiate, but if you choose to disobey the general then you will see DDC soldiers attacking merchants. Deleted10954978User
Oh, It would seem that everyones moved to this board. Here's something I found that might interest you people. Its called ST robot race, and adds several types of robots to the game as playable characters. One of them is green and has the one star symbol, so maybe it could be part of your DDC faction? They could have revived a few military robots to supplement their forces.

Yeah ST's robot race is a popular mod, but it's not a common bot per se, like the army protectron or sentry bot. And although I appreciate the sentiment I don't really seeing it fitting into this scenario.
sgtKraigO
Most of the bots they use would probably be sentry and gutsy since they're the most common military bots. Also I would like too see this as lore friendly as possible and a user created robot isn't very lore friendly.
Nexusaurus
I've got this mod, and while it may not fit in other than the star sigil, I can put forward some ways to work it into the story. 1. they were secret prototypes in the military bases and fight as either machines or intelligent beings alongside the DDC. 2. they were from some military compound far away, and, being intelligent and capable of human thought, joined the UDC since they realize it's potential to be a peaceful, successful nation. If they are added for whatever reason, I think that they would primarily serve as technicians, or more like dog trainers, training the less intelligent machines like sentry bots how to fight. You can essentially write in anything to a story, but is there really a reason to do so? Just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should

I just realized they could have Eyebots though. I'll look into it and see if there were other Eyebots made besides ED-E 2.0 or anyway of making new ones. If so then they would be great at scouting, running messages, and perimeter checks .

Definitely, at the very least medical eyebots (bunch of em in Ulysses temple). But probably maintenance eyebots that have the same multitool attachment as ED-E 2.0 as well (although I'm not positive on that one). I was going to put together a medical eyebot companion, but kinda swamped lately.
Nexusaurus
Yeah, what you guys said makes sense. I just thought it was neat how the robots had the one star symbol. Anyways, are you guys modders, or do you know any we can work with?or do we need to flesh it out more?
sgtKraigO
I'm not, I tried but I suck at it and find the GECK confusing so I just lurk around the forums throwing out suggestions in mods or correcting any mistakes I find in the lore.
