RyanLP
Alright, so here's the deal. I just got Fallout 3 today, bought the disk at Gamestop brand new for $49.99. I plan on using XFO, MMM, and FOOK 2. Along with that I use Tailor Maid, Operation Anchorage, Tweakin It Out, and maybe Enhanced Weather. I used Archive Invalidated, FOSE, Unofficial Fallout Patch, and FOMM. I ran the game with no mods, it worked fine. I ran it with just XFO, Tailor Maid, and Enhanced Weather and it worked fine, besides a sound problem (not important though). For the most part, I'm pretty sure I installed everything to its correct location and I don't think that the mods cause the crash. Here's where the problem begins... :wallbash: :verymad: :wallbash: :verymad: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: I updated the game to 1.7, which seems to be the problem. When the game starts, like gets to the loading screen, it closes and two messages popup. One says that it crashed with the "Debug, send error report, etc." Then the other one says: Fallout3.exe - Application Error"The instruction at "0x00625070" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".Click on OK to to terminate the programClick on CANCEL to debug the program Well, any help would be great. I'm pretty upset about this since it seems like I just burnt $50 on the game and about $200 getting a new graphics card set up. :wallbash: I'm not sure if it was just the update, it may have been MMM (though I doubt it) or FOSE. I've reinstalled at least 4 times and looked all over google. Only one other person came up when I googled my exact problem and the rest have to do with Pirated Copies and stuff. I read on Yahoo answers it has to do with my file being lost in the directory or it's corrupt or something. I can't run the game at all. After the problem starts, the game will not launch with/without mods.
Prosthetics
Unofficial Fallout patch + Official Fallout patch is probably the roots of your problem. It could also be that you are trying to load a mod that uses DLC that you either don't have, or are loading after the mod.
gsmanners
"Pirated Copies"? LOL ;D Sounds like the GfWL bug again. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=128962
RyanLP
"Pirated Copies"? LOL ;D Sounds like the GfWL bug again. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=128962 I think I downloaded that but it was before everything, I'll try it again. EDIT: Nah, wasn't that. Ima try redownloading everything but only installing the unofficial patch. It couldn't be DLC, all I use is anchorage. And the game doesn't work without any mods either so it's something in the main directory not the data folder.
RyanLP
"Pirated Copies"? LOL ;D Yeah, you can use thepiratebay.org to download the game. But, like with most torrents, problems are to be expected. Most of the other people I saw with my problem downloaded the game from a torrent and had corrupt Fallout3.exe file. But I also forgot to add that I didn't notice anything in the installation for FOSE about the "scr" (or something) folder. So I just added to the main directory, same with the Fomod folder for Mart's Mutant mod. But when I deleted them the game still didn't work so I don't know... RyanLP
Ok, so it's not the patches as far as I can tell. I found that the error appeared after I installed MMM's mod and Tailor Maid. I didn't even put the mods on, but after I downloaded them into my data folder, my game just crashes right when it starts up. Besides that it was working fine before. cheekyboy66
I know this is an old thread but I wondered if you managed to solve your problem. I have what seems to be the same problem. I bought the GOTY edition and disc one loaded fine. I tried to start the game but it just crashed with the 0x00625070 code. Later I tried to load the DLC disc and it crashed. My PC runs Skyrim fine on very high settings - I am still using XP but I wouldn't have thought that would matter. Anyway, I wondered if anyone had found a sure-fire solution to this problem. I have tried many of the suggestions such as disabling GfWL but so far nothing has worked.
Bazerk83
How exactly did you install MMM and are you running it alongside FOOK? Also, what directory did you install the game on? What applications are you running to help with installation of mods. Boss, FOSE, fo3edit etc....
