theDemonJackal
Well I have plenty of ideas for different quests and things if this is being considered. I actually did loads of reserch and found that Zion actually has more to it then we would actually notice(unless you do your homework). So Im gonna work around a few ideas with this stuff in mind:- Tribe's like the Tar Walkers and Crazy horns were defeated by the white legs prior to New Canaan - The langauge of the tribals in a western themed game is a Cerole of english combined with (primarally) german. Fun fact. In old westerns the langauge indians spoke was in fact usually german. - Ulysses was a member. And some things Ill implement after cleaning up my ideas. devinpatterson
So Im gonna work around a few ideas with this stuff in mind: - Tribe's Yeah tribes offer a lot of creative potential. In that vein I'd like to introduce one called the burning people or burning tribe, something like that. There's this oil field (virgin oil field) a few miles west of zion. In the fallout world I could see them exploiting it heavily, and after it was abandoned it could burn for decades or even centuries depending on how many wells were open or uncapped, etc. My idea would be these guys would have fire geckco skins (and other stuff like firefighting equipment and oil well outfits) and rub tar on it (fire gecko skin presumably being fire resistant, since the gecko is), then light it aflame before attacking other tribes. I think it will make a great visual effect. It's actually a tribe I was working on for another mod (End of ages, time of the ghost warriors), but I'd like to throw them in here as well. Some stuff for them; Pics; http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/FONV%20Mods-works%20in%20progress/geckFireHelmetSmall_zpsca2cb3ee.jpg http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/FONV%20Mods-works%20in%20progress/geckoHeadHat_zpsdb011d9f.jpg http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/FONV%20Mods-works%20in%20progress/firefighterHelmet_zps7816281f.jpg These guys are villians through and through. Partly mad from the fumes and contamination of their land. They use a lot of incendiary devices (molotov cocktails, flame throwers, shiskabobs etc) fuled by the petroleum products they have ample access to. - Ulysses was a member. I could be wrong but I think Ulysses was a member of the twisted hair tribe Another aspect that has always intrigued me is the vault 22 peeps. Did they go techno tribal? Did they bring along any of their botanical research, are there giant plants they cultivate. Maybe they are still infected. Maybe they'v regressed and worship a sort of dark earth mother as exemplified by the twisted flora. Do they use their botanical knowledge, are some of them abodoned or turned out from the tribe if they catch the disease and show signs (later developing into spore carriers). Lot of possibilities. sgtKraigO
Ulysses was not a member, he was a frumentarii sent by Cesar to bring the White Legs into the Legion. He use too be a member of the Twisted Hairs until they were destroyed. The White Legs adopted the dreadlocks to honor Ulysses but he was disgusted and found it too be an insult to the Twisted Hairs. Also I believe most of the oil in the world was used up, save for a few pockets (1 being Alaska). Edited March 19, 2014 by sgtKraigO
theDemonJackal
I actually had a few ideas for tribals. Each based off new world beings inspired by old world teachings. It is very late here so I'll just give the names I cam up with."Bladed Prayers.""Grim Tombs""Green Pulse's ""Black Sands""Hawk Feathers""Twisted Bolts" theres some of the ideas i have. PleaseHelpMeWithThis
I don't know whats planned for this mod, but what i would like is to get a pro-legion side to this DLC. Instead of helping Joshua or just killing him, it would be neat to have a campaign that start with being sent by Vulpes to help the White Legs. theDemonJackal
The Blood Foxs suit as a name?
sgtKraigO
The Blood Foxs suit as a name? I'm liking the Blade Prayers and the Black Sands Blade Prayers: Warrior tribe that are similar too Kilngons and Dothraki. They would never step down from an honorable find but find most ranged weapons dishonorable. They are trained from an early age and do not care what sex you are, if you can swing a sword or throw a spear you can fight. The most common weapons they use would be Machete Gladius', Axes, throwing knives, and throwing spears. The leader could have a special shish kabob. Black Sands: A tribe that paints themselves in black and attack in the middle of the night. The stay in sandy areas and their camps are almost impossible to find. The Blade Prayers find their tactics dishonorable and cowardly. That's just what comes to mind when I hear the names.
theDemonJackal
@SGTkdude its creepy how close you were to my ideas. Blacks sands were pretty much the "Lets watch and see tribe" of the land. However, being from a society where stealth and reconstruction are the most important things. The Black Sands take advantage of both. In particular, thier use of burnt sand (collected from mini nuke aftermath) as messages. To put it simply. They are mysterous mothers...which kinda plays into thier trad Blade Prayers have a strange mix of weapons at first. While most use bladed weaponry (like knives or swords), they are still a very dagerous force.A deeply honourable warrior tribe, they worship that of the praying mantis and its beliefs. As the Mantis needs no firearm, nor do the Blade Prayers. Men are used as Matrons and love givers (think male version of Waking Cloud). And the Men that rise to the rank of Warrior, usually push themselves harder (ink link there towards one in particular). Head of the Blade Prayers :La-MatraAn Amazoness like warrior and first introduction to the Blade Prayers after being knocked out. She is a the most skilled of the Blade Prayers and possesses the right to use the forbidden weapons against you. See what I mean

She is a the most skilled of the Blade Prayers and possesses the right to use the forbidden weapons against you. It's interesting that they would worship a mantis. Personally I've always viewed the mantis as nothing more than free xp for low levels. My idea of the Blade Prayers is that they worship the blade (Their weapon, a warrior without a weapon is no warrior at all), the whetstone (without a stone a blade is nothing more than flattened metal), fire (allows the forging of the blade and provides heat), and the earth (Where the blades, and whetstones come from, and where warriors to in death). They believe the sword and whetstone is a gift from their ancestors who have fallen in battle so that they can bring honor to their name and tribe. The tribal blacksmiths are some of the best in the wasteland, and in the tribe they're the priests. Only tribal members can obtain their blades and only after they've looked into the eyes a man they've killed (basically their passage into warriorhood). If you're a blacksmith you cannot become a warrior, but they do know how to fight so they do not get the same blades as warriors but they do get their own special weapon. A persons sex does not matter in the tribe, neither does their sexual orientation. The tribal elders raise the children and teach and train them in warfare and weapon smiting (although how exactly the weapons are made are kept secret by the blacksmiths). The warriors are trained in scouting, raiding, open warfare, survival, tracking, and hunting). The leader of the tribe is considered the strongest, fastest, and bravest of them all and too become the leader you must kill the leader. There is some farming in the tribe but it's minimal and looked after by everyone.
