theDemonJackal
Okay the Native Americans before the Wild West. Basically they were fighting for land and power over each tribal area. The Basic information of the land before the west. Geronimo, Sitting Bull, Crazy horse kinda thing. Anyways. Fallout NV always had a Wild West Feel to me(probably the reson I am attracted to it so). So Honest Hearts is basically the land outside of the West. The natives. The tribals are fighting over power, then the westerners appear and try to incoporate power, religion, and conquest to them. Daniel trys to convert them, Joshua trys to make them strong so their way of life is preserved, and Salt Upon wounds teachs the White legs of Conquest (taking over the two other tribes through fear and intimidation). So the impression I always got from Honest hearts was that this was Cowboys and indians with three cowboys and hunfdreds of indians. Hope that makes sense.
sgtKraigO
 The tribes are suppose to be a reference to the indian plantations though arent they? At least thats the feeling I always got from the game. That this was the tribal evironment before the westerners came to the land.Sorry brother, that went totally over my head. Could you expand on what you meant?  I believe he means it's a reference too native american history and how the US government committed genocide, but I'm not aware of any natives working on plantations. Although I don't see that being the reference in the DLC since there are no government type forcibly removing the tribes, I do see the connection between the Huron, Iroquois, and other native tribes. Personally I'm not a big fan of the idea of an athletic tribe or a park ranger tribe as I feel the Zion park would be way too over crowded. With 3 tribes it's perfect but any more it would be too much, one way of getting around this could be too have the Black Sands not have a base and very rarely find their hunters and scouts since they're very stealthy. When the player has too contact them they will speak too a representative of the tribe. Edited March 22, 2014 by sgtKraigO

Geronimo, Sitting Bull, and Crazy Horse were major leaders in the war against the US governments expansion into their lands. Salt Upon Wounds and the White Legs were already a militaristic tribe, it was through Ulysses they learned of more advanced tactics.
theDemonJackal
Well in my defence. I have no clue about native american history bar some information I have learned through reserch. But wouldnt know enough to call myself an expert. But yes what you said is true. I just always saw them as the Natives and the cowboys have corrupted them. Sound familair? Your right on target in regard to Geronimo, Sitting Bull, and Crazy Horse etc. But I wouldn't say " They did fight but it was nothing major, most conflicts were settled peacefully". The Iroquois nation were kicking the crap out of Mohican and Ottawa tribes, as in whole sale slaughter/genocide, for example. I'm but a humble product of the public school system, so my knowledge is pretty limited on this subject, but there were some incredibly fierce and warlike nations/tribes. And I'm not saying this out of any bias (according to my family we have a lot of cherokee blood), it's just historical fact. Some of the more feared tribes; Comanche, Shawnees, Seminoles, Iroquois, Apache etc, where formidable opponents to both the white man and Native Americans. devinpatterson
OK did a quick Zion park ranger (in the same style as Slim) pic; http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/FONV%20Mods-works%20in%20progress/ZionParkRangerSmall_zps2949e99b.jpg   http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/FONV%20Mods-works%20in%20progress/ZionParkRanger_zps605e5054.jpg   A few things I need to do in a 2nd revision though. *add a bit more green to the pain so it matches the park ranger hat better *take out the chrome effects (they'r outside a lot, weathered) *find something close to hiking boots *possibly change the color of the dome again. Blue looks cool, but I'm not sure if it fits the park ranger. Was thinking maybe green or a orangish red that is reminiscent of the landscape. *possibly add a backpack (used for supplies for lost hikers, medical etc). *possibly change the laser to Compliance Regulator beam, on the assumption that a the park rangers would be more likely to need non lethal weapons in their duties. Send any suggestions my way. I'll probably make a revision 2 version tongiht when I get home from work.
devinpatterson
Oh also I could see the park rangers as useful for a vendor (the Zion giftshop). And also a little quest where it could be led to a vending machine near the visitor center & repair any damaged Eat'o'tronic 3000's so the player could raid them.
