Devins Oil Tribe Idea has to be implemented. I love the helms and the armor too much to see it go to waste.

The child tribe can still be implemented.

I stated earlier that there should be a scramble over the smaller tribes for who can be the new dominant tribe of taking over from the white legs. I also mentioned the Tar Walkers and the Crazy horns.

They could be a kind of remnants tribe(the crazy horns) Wearing horned metal helmets (different texturs of course) and little to nothing else. But you could still only run into them as they are evidence of what war does to tribes (being the last two members of their tribes). Hell you could even make them companions if you wanted to.

Im actually working on making some dialogue for tribals (based on what I learned from the Fallout wiki about the tribals in zion), and while it is a pain in the ass I am content with my progress.

Anyways. The Rangers are still a go I hope as I have been working on some ideas for other bits of dark humor for them.

Still some great ideas there Devilman

I'm thinking of putting the black rubber/leather boots that are stock with the vault jumpsuit back on since they could go under the sabatons and greaves but the other options is boots over the greaves.

I'm also thinking of making them a custom race and adding some green shading on their skin texture (not everywhere, but some strategic areas, like in the crevices and wrinkles of the skin, and a very light green patch here and there). Should give a hint to their infection/symbiosis of the vault 22 plant tech.

That could very well work!

I like the idea of slogans running around the ranger station. (maybe even some little easter eggs)

Maybe have the robot rangers report to a ghoulified head ranger that will be pulling the strings in the background(or something like that)

(As for black humor) I really like the idea of the bots refering to dead skeletons as if they were living. Like maybe go over to one thats just sprawled across the table and say something to the effect of:

"And this is Ranger Carol. Aint she a looker? Say hello Carol....Ha-Ha And she got one heck of a sense of humor. Dont she kid?"

I seem to detect another Red Dwarf fan. :)

Thanks.

Some other ideas I had for some black humor was:

"Head Ranger Mitchell is out of the office at the moment, but im sure he will be back any minute. Waved him by myself."

(And just outside at the front door there is a skeleton with the keycard of Ranger Mitchell, anything before the main entrance isnt collaborated to their programming and is thus ignored.)

@GreenKnight You got me. Red Dwarf fan.

I can't say that I'm too keen on this design. It just screams "Chinese Stealth Suit" to me. Wouldn't using some bits of the Sierra Madre Ghost People armor be a better choice?

The US may have acquired some stealth suits from dead Chinese spies from Anchorage before the Great War (which later led to the invention of stealth boys and later the Stealth Suit Mk 2 at Big MT) but I have my doubts that there's suddenly a supply of them in Vault 22.

It should, that's the point. I don't believe the tribe would be wandering over to the Sierra madre

I think your a bit confused. The survivors would have been wandering for nearly 200 years after leaving vault 22. Along their travels they will pick up pieces of all armors from all factions to mix with their ragged tribal vault tec equipment. For instance there are two stealth suits in hoover damn recovered from a failed chinese black ops mission on the dam. They were sent in to the mainland as special forces against high priority targets.

Theres a nice little collection here. Oil Tribals, Vault Tribals and Robo-Rangers. Nice dynamic.

Should be some fun stuff. I think I'm going to work on some lightning bugs. Randall Clark ran across some small ones (zapping something), but these would be bloatfly sized.

The valley of angry spirits could really use some help too (ideas) if you have the time. I was thinking one of their items could be "My first laser" or based on captain cosmos laser pistol. Long story short it would look like Euclid's C-Finder's C finder, but fire a enormous/showy beam. It wouldn't do jack for damage (just a toy) but it would look mighty impressive. The kids would use it to scare away abominations (just like the flare gun). I also need to work up the fireworks they use.

Anyway I feel like things are coming together, but I'd love to have some more ideas.
