mooncarver
just cosmetic stuff and slightly different dialogues ("hello, girl!" etc.). i'm using a female character because i decided to play as some kind of a stealthy assassin. dunno why, but to me women kinda fit more into this role than men. Anthropoid
My first run through I played a female character and she did just fine as a stealthy assassain. But then I've I'd given her a high Str and End she would've been a good Bruiser too! The one real difference that has not been noted so far: it is much more fun to stare at "your own hind end" in 3d person view :)
evilneko
dunno why, but to me women kinda fit more into this role than men.'cus womenfolk is smooth and curvy and fluid, like cats, where men are big, rough, bulky things, like dogs. And of course, as we all know, cats are masters of stealth. Dogs, not so much. Also, a powerful woman is always portrayed as less muscular but highly toned, graceful, fast, and agile, killing with one or just a few quick and precise strikes. When they jump, they land silently on the ground behind their enemies. Powerful men are portrayed as hulking musclebound beasts smashing their way through the opposition and shrugging off damage like a berserker. When they kill, they either make one devastating, brutal attack or trade a long, long series of blows with their enemy until one of them falls. When they jump, they shatter the ground they land on. csb
Being female, I prefer to play my own gender in-game. Easier to identify with and increases the immersion, though I have tried a male character or two. Stat-wise, there's no difference that I can tell, so I think it is mainly personal preference. RaleTheBlade
Other than the Black Window perk and Lady Killer Perk, no difference that I can tell. I like to play a female because I associate them with being graceful, swift, and silently deadly. To me, they make the perfect thieves. If I want a character who totes around a Minigun or Fat Man Id make a male. Plus... I like to have something to look at while I'm going somewhere (lol) and I feel better with a female character, suits my style a bit better.
