dezdimona
General Load-Order GuidelinesHere are the guidelines that I adhere to, personally. ~ Unofficial Oblivon Patch should always be first on the list. The fixes are great, but most aren't essential, so if a mod overwrites them its not a big deal, and the fixes have the potential for screwing up other mods if loaded later. ~ Offical Content (DLC's) should be loaded last, until you complete all quests associated with them (that includes buying all furniture for the houses and whatnot). Once they're complete, they can be safely moved up in the list. This is especially important for Knights of the Nine, which will have some fairly major problems unless loaded last (unless you get the UOP for KotN) ~ Major overhaul mods (OOO, Frans, MMM) should be loaded near the end. That gives you the most complete experience with any of those particular mods. It also lets you carefully choose which other mods to load afterwards... only move mods that you know will conflict and that you want the changes from. For example, I have Improved Soul Gems below OOO because I know that OOO changes the icons of some of the SG's, and ISG needs to be below to show through. Some people will recommend putting larger mods first, but personally I disagree. There are a number of mods out there that make minor tweaks, and loading after a large mod will end up completely overwriting a chunk from one of the bigger mods because of the way conflicts work in Oblivion (even one minor change will take precedence over the entire record... for example, simply tweaking the speed of a weapon can cause every stat of that weapon to be retained to vanilla levels if loaded later). So basically, it stacks up like this... Oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch<Minor Mods / DLC's (Post-Completion)><Major Overhaul Mod/Mods><Mods that specifically conflict with overhauls and need to take precedence><DLC's (Pre-Completion)>Note: If using Mayu's Overhaul Mod. I recommend loading it after OOO or MMM Expanded Load-Order Guidelinesby dev_akm I would extend this to include: Oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch<Weather/Environment/Sound Mods><Minor Mods/New Items/Houses/DLC's (Post-Completion)><Major Overhaul Mods><Mods that specifically conflict with overhauls and need to take precedence><DLC's (Pre-Completion)><Quests><Compatibility Patches/UOMP/Merged Leveled Lists> And a special-case warning for Knights.esp (Knights of the Nine) -- you may not be able to move it earlier than some other mods (some people have had problems after moving it before OOO, for example). That's basically the structure I use and I have 140+ mods working well together. Another way of describing this (posted by DMan77):....Oblivionunoffical patchDeeper realism mods that add sights and soundsadded content like weapons/itemsgameplay changes, like 'must eat and sleep'The OOO typethe 'new begining' type mod...... ipegot
Either your video card isn't very good or your video settings are too high for your system to run the game. For dxdiag, click your windows button. In the search box type "dxdiag", no quotes. It should list one program, click on it. Let it run and then save the information, copy and paste all the saved information into a post here.

K here's the DxDiag stuff and I just used BOSS for the sorting I thought it sorts everything automatically in the right order also I bought this computer not long ago I seriously doubt its the computer as for oblivion I put it on the highest settings and the game works it just crashes when my fps gets really shitty happens a lot around chorol its seems it might have something to do with open cities or crowded roads advanced. ------------------System Information------------------ Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 Language: English (Regional Setting: English) BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 920 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz Memory: 4094MB RAM Page File: 1756MB used, 6654MB available DirectX Version: DirectX 10 Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GTDedicated Memory: 497 MB

Mind posting detailed info about your video settings?I'm being careful about what I post just want to make sure I don't give out to much info since I'm not sure what can be used against me so what exactly did you want to know I think it might be becasue I just didnt set up the ini for oblivion right so that it knows that I have more ram all I basically did was edit the values then save it and tried it out but it didn't really make a difference at all I also tried streamline and set my game to a really crappy level my FPS did go up but its the same thing around chorol my fps gets really bad for a sec then goes back up it didnt crash but still makes it really annoying and unplayable around those parts usually when I enter the gates my fps goes down its probably open cities. ipegot
Nothing you've been asked for could compromise your computer in anyway. I'm not sure why you'd think listing your Oblivion video settings could be a problem. (Same for the dxdiag info.) I believe open cities can cause some issues. You shouldn't really edit the ini files if you don't know what you're doing.
