RandomArt
Being more into immersion, I was wondering if there was a way to make a much more realistic inventory. Basically, you'd only be able to carry one set of armor, and you would have to be wearing it. You would also have a series of Inventory spots: - Right Shoulder - Quiver or quiver equivalent (i.e. Assassin's Short Sword from Assassin's Creed Mod- Left Shoulder - Two-handed weapon or shield (I know this isn't implemented in the game, so I'll expand upon it later)- Left Hip - One-handed weapon You would also have to carry a backpack for smaller items, like ingredients and such, which I can see conflicting with the other things on your back and causing clipping issues... So, to expand upon the two-handed weapon and the shield, as well as to offer some elaboration on the weapon system in general, since you wouldn't be able to carry massive amounts of weapons like you can with the vanilla inventory system, I think it would be ideal, if at all possible, to be able to carry (in the sheathed position) both a one-handed and a two-handed weapon (with a shield over the two-handed weapon). You would have to be able to specify which was the active weapon so your character draws it and not the other one. Also, for the shield, when drawing a one-handed weapon, it would probably need a custom animation to grab the shield. NOTE: I know the shield is picky, if anyone decides to undertake this, the shield is not a must-have. Other than that, the inventory would work the same as always, no need to mess with it, it's just the aesthetic of it.
Slawter500
How do you intend to specify which sword is drawn? would be tricky. I suppose you could make the two handed sword to fit into the shield slot in the same sort of way as the shield on back mod. Try various backpack mods and shield on back mods. Then maybe only carry one armour. As a temporary solution.
khaell
I Requested this mod already, but topic is dead, Hope You will have more luck. You mean something like Witcher method? 4 slots for weapon, armor, maybe 2 fast slots for potions etc.? It would be hard, and it sould need immersive item equiping system like in mmo games (hold and put on empty slot). It would be hard to equip items with vanilla method, because its bound to one slot.I dont have head for that, I dont know anything about modding, modeling, scripting, and I think Its all about scripting to force more weapons appear in other slots. Possibly Skeleton have to be edited.

khaell
I think this mod is possible thou, I seen "dual sword sheate system", where defensive like sword goes to right hip and weapon to the left. Its too bad thats most experienced modders doesnt even check forums....
RandomArt
Yeah, it would be great if someone would come and do it. I understand the concept, you'd have to make a unique animation for the shield, but I don't know how to do things like that in Blender.
RandomArt
New idea to remove clipping problems from the backpack. Some sort of satchel that hung over the shoulder on a strap and rested on the hip. Large enough to realistically fit ingredients, but small enough to be fairly unobtrusive. Perhaps a meshed on torch hanging from the outside for realism. The major pro of a backpack mesh would be the ability to add travel gear, like a cup, a pan, a torch, and it's big enough to realistically hold other things, but I would understand sacrificing it in favor of an ingredient's satchel for simplification.
