gheraz
Hey guys! I've a big problem in Fallout 3: I play the german version from F3 with Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt and a few of modifications. here's a list with my the mods I use from OBMM. Some mods are in german, but you can ask me!:-) I like the armors in OA and so I downloaded a mod to play with the armors after the simulation in OA. And I downloaded a replacer to make the white armors black. At first all was good and funny, but than my character is invisibly and in a red box. Only by the armors from OA.I did no thinks with my game. I only changed the load order from my mods. Alas I don't remember as the order before these. But the load order can't be the problem, I think. Why a load order makes the textures (or meshes?) from a few of armors unfindly?? Please help me to fix this problem! Greetz, gheraz
shac555
The load order tells you which mods are loaded first, from top to bottom. This is important when you have mods of the same type, for example texture mods as the last mod will overwrite the previous one and can cause problems. But by looking at your mod list i dont see a .esp of the mod that made your OA armors black so i guess it was just a simple texture replacement? Try to remove this texture and see if you still got that problem. i think this black armor mod conflicts somehow with one of your mods.
gheraz
Tody, I fixed the problem: in an other forum, a guy tells me his idea that I must extract the *.bsa-files from Operation Anchorage. I did it and now the normally textures are back! But who gets to this simple idea?! :wallbash: But thank you for help, shac555!! :thanks: Greetz, gheraz
gheraz
Yesterday, I installed a few of mods and the german Patch 1.7. And now, Fallout 3 crashed back to the desktop if I start it. Heres my Loadorder from FOMM:http://img5.imagebanana.com/img/xu23b48v/loadorder.gif Do you have an indea? Greetz, gheraz
phoneyLogic
Did you install the latest FOSE from here:http://fose.silverlock.org/ ?
gheraz
No. I didn't install it. But I've no mod which needs this.I founded per contingency the problem: a mod which needed the DLC "Mothership Zeta" and this I didn't bought or installed. Sorry for my stupid mistake, but I dond't know that I need for a normal armor modification a DLC. I thought it was a complete new mesh and I didn't thought that the game gets a crash to desktop if a masterfile is missing... But thank you for help and a big sorry, too!!!;):-) I'm only luky that I can play my game! :-D Greetz, gheraz
gheraz
I have a new problem in Fallout 3... -.-' I bought me the AddOns Broken Steel and Point Lookout and installed both. Now I'm in Point Lookout and must go into the tribe. They said me that I must find the seeds from the plant. So I go to the plant, but now I can't load my saves. At the loacation posted the "Karmarang" ("whip of the humanity") posted "(zero)". And these saves I can't load...:( I play with patch 1.4 and can't update the game. I don't play with FOSE, but I don't need it.;)

Can you please explain what you did to fix?
gheraz
It was very simpel: with the FOMM I extract the Anchorage-Main.bsa, The Pitt-Main.bsa, etc. in my datafolder and than the game was playable.;-)
csb
Unpacking a BSA should be a last resort (it can really bloat your Data folder over time). Usually problems like this (where ! icons appear or red squares), indicates that a needed resource (texture or mesh) isn't available. If you used ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! (which you should, it's a great utility), then there is no need for the archiveinvalidation.txt file. If you didn't use the utility, then the textures/meshes have to be added to archiveinvalidation.txt (or if it doesn't exist, it has to be created). All that said, things like that are common when changing load orders in FOMM. It's a good idea to get FO3Edit (and Miax's guide on using it) to get rid of mod conflicts.
