twistedtoronado
Could someone please explain to me how exactly to get files I download from here to work in my game? I am familiar with the GECK a bit, more along the lines of familiar with Elder Scrolls version, but much is the same. Just not sure exactly how to get different files to work on Fallout 3 that I download from this website. Thank you for your time.
roquefort
Have you looked at the "How to install Mods.." thread pinned up at the top there (Technical Support)?
twistedtoronado
Okay, what I mean to say was that I cannot get the file ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated to even work. I cannot locate the stupid .ini file or whatever the heck it is looking for no matter how I try. I run XP, not Vista, thank god. This is really quite annoying. I should have been more specific when I posted my original post. I was just upset at the stupidity that is becoming my computer.
phoneyLogic
Did you start fallout once? The ini file will be created with the first start of the default launcher.
twistedtoronado
Yeah, I did before I did all this, reinstalled the game and all content and for some reason it worked. Now my next question is, when I download something, is it supposed to be in a zipped file? Because what I have tried so far has not been and from the looks of the "how to" it should be. I am not trying to be a pain in the butt by asking so many questions, but the "how to" leaves somethings out or I am just moderately dumb. Probably both. Hopefully... phoneyLogic
It's just a lot to know if you start your first time modding and you may have to read a lot stuff :geek: the files can be zip, rar or 7zip archives. You'll need tu extract the files. Now the good news, there is a video :D and - yay - another article
