Two halves of an eye do NOT make a whole!!!

I have this cushy list of mods I've installed. I'm not going to bother listing them all, so here are just the ones that mess with the body meshes and/or textures.

Unofficial Oblivion Patch 3.2.0

CM Partners 2.0 (Apparently what STARTED this madness...)

-Cute Elves 1.2.1

Elaborate Eyes 1.1 (Installed only AFTER the issue arose)

-Evolution of Blood 1.0

Male Body Replacer 4.0

---The problem is twofold, but both issues are the same, just attributed to a different mod.

While using Partners, I noticed that one of my followers disappeared after an Oblivion mission, then reappeared after I used the Warp Ring...WITHOUT his custom armor. So when I checked the FAQ, it said to uninstall the mod, save fresh, and reinstall...

Once I reinstalled the mod, I took a look at my vampirized Argonian's eyes only to see that they'd been split at the pupil and turned around...so now it looks like there are two eyes inside the sockets...

I installed Elaborate Eyes and it just got worse, spreading to the NPCs as well.

Uninstalling the mods has no effect, except to free the NPCs of the affliction. Nothing fixes my character.

How do I fix it?

Elaborate Eyes + Robert's Male Body Plugin = Googly Eyes.

- Elaborate Eyes redirects default eye textures and meshes to its own.(Does not replace them physically, though)

- Robert's Male Body plugin retains default eye mesh paths.

-> Can be solved by making Bashed Patch(If you can use Wrye Bash) or merged plugin.

And CM Partners does not change any part of 'Race' record. Did you deactivate all suspicious mods and check if the eyes are still screwed?

Most eye problems are related to having too many 'beauty' type mods installed. Each one wants to control how the eyes look and you get something strange. black eyes, no eyes, googly eyes, strange color etc. Look for mods such as 'beautiful people' and any custom race mod. disable all of them and see if you get the vanilla eyes back. Then reinstall the mods one at a time until you find the one that is causing the problem. Changing the load order may help - or not.

Beautiful People was one of the early mods that changed eyes, and many of the later mods used a different technique causing a conflict resulting in strange eyes. Some race mods change the eyes while others do not.

Elaborate eyes? 1.1? That could be one of your problems as it's main reason is to edit the eyes of yours and other characters, I had your problem once and it solved just by disabling and re-installing it. Unless you already tried that since in that case I have no idea what your problem is.

Like I said... This issue started BEFORE I even installed Elaborate Eyes... I made no changes at all other than cleaning my save by reinstalling CM Partners and THAT'S when it went nuts with the Argonian's eyes.

As for making a Bash... I do not have Wrye Bash and I utterly refuse to download it if ONLY because it's Python-based. I already have two versions of the Python compiler on my computer. I think that's quite enough...

Also, removing Male Body Replacer is NOT an option unless I reinstall the game. As far as I'm aware, OBMM doesn't save old resources before REPLACING them... =_=

OBMM does not remove or replace any of the vanilla resources. They are located in the bsa files and are not changed by any mods. When you use OBMMs OMOD format to install, then use it to remove a mod, it completely removes the mod and the original vanilla resources will be back.

I should've known that. Thank you, because now I see there's NO way for me to reinstall the game because the Setup.exe for both Oblivion and Shivering Isles now crashes the INSTANT I try to boot it up...

I should note now that it's not just my eyes, but ALL vampire eyes... I just checked out the cure quest and the vampire I had to talk to has the same glitched eyes...

EDIT: Thanks... getting rid of the body replacer mod fixed the problem. Gives me sanity-time to come up with a full solution. Once I figure out how, I'll have to connect the mods or something. I'm gonna try just reinstalling the mod and see if that works, though...

EDIT...again: Uh...nope...seems I have to simply leave the body replacer out... ...I may miss that Giger Armor...

EDIT 3: Somehow, the Body Replacer and Evolution of Blood both manage to spawn the same issue, the former only affecting vampires while EoB, strangely enough, causes the problem to spread to NPCs indiscriminately.

To reinstall, you must first uninstall the game completely. The installer puts some entries in the Windows registry, and those will prevent any attempt to install while they are there. Using the uninstall on the CD removes them.

If you delete the Oblivion folder without uninstalling first the registry entries will still be there. And now can only be removed by using a registry cleaner such as ccleaner.

Let me rephrase that. I can't uninstall the game TO reinstall it. I know my way around a comp...but nothing works. I think I just need to get something better than this junk refurbished VAIO.
